It’s my sophomore year of college, and I don't know if I’m cut out for this. I don’t have any friends. My grades have gone from bad to worse. And no matter how much I study, nothing sinks in.
Then there’s my advisor. Everyone thinks he’s great. The girls think he’s so hot. I think he’s annoying. Telling me to sign up for tutoring. Like I’m some kid.
When I see the flyer for the research study — 15% extra credit added to my final psychology grade — I know I have to do it. No matter what. They say they can’t tell me what the injections are. Probably just placebos. But if they are, why does my body feel like it’s changing?
