OK

I had a hard time getting into this story and staying there. It kept jumping back and forth from the past and into the now. I had a hard time keeping up and sometimes couldn't tell which was which. The narration was good. Carter did good with the different voices. I had a hard time finishing this. The last few chapters held my interest as I had to see how it ended. For me not bad but not real good either.

Really enjoyed

I read the book before I listened to it. I really enjoyed the book and the audible but the narrator's voice kept reminding me of the narrator's of those crime shows i.e. cold case, Dateline or anything on the ID channel.

really liked this book, it was rough in some spots, like a Dom knows the rules of not punishing sub while angry, ball gag so you can't say safe word and going way beyond your pain levels, what happened to safe and consensual? it really makes it hard to want to give control over to someone else 😪

Very unique story very different and delicious

Very unique story. I enjoyed the education I received about their lifestyle. Kept my mouth open in surprise while at work🤦🏽‍♀️

Not my cup of tea

I would have preferred more story and less sex. Maliyah Porter had always loved Ephraim Levine since childhood, so had Eph. She was everything to him and when they went their separate ways after an annulment, it messed both of them up. Lee Lee's parents really messed her mind up and Eph's parents wanted more for their son. He had to get his Sweets back and find out why she left even if it had been years later. He was not the same without his Lee Lee. The Hurt Room was a way to get her back, but there was too much scheming going on, but they managed to get everything out and get their HEA.

I love the tension in this story! Intriguing story and awesome narration. I need more.

I enjoyed this book very much. I loved the characters, friends whom became lovers and then marriage. Then she broke his heart ❤and he was determined to get her back.

There's love and sexual chemistry between Ephraim and Maliah. Ephraim is an alpha male but is vulnerable where Maliah is concerned. She is his soulmate ever since they were teens and he never stopped loving her. Ephraim made a crazy plan to get her back into his life. The sex is wild, erotic, BDSM and is steamy hot.
