Desperately needed

I am a father of a pre-teen. She is my oldest so I am entering her teen years, knowing they are exciting, challenging, and very important for the life my daughter wants to live. The next few years can have a tremendous - if not permanent - impact on how the rest of their life is lived. So I desperately want to help her live it well to the best of my ability and set her up as best as I can.

With that, this book was tremendous and desperately needed. I am looking for any input I can find to get her and myself prepared so we can make the most out of these next few years. I love the advice that is given and how it is given. It's not lecturing. It also offers advice on things that might be sensitive like social dynamics and relationships which I know can be hard for kids to open up about, but they need to get sound advice somewhere. It even covered finances...genius. I read it first before offering it to my daughter, but now that I have, I will gladly give it to her. I'm looking forward to it; I know she will too!

Very comprehensive guide

Foster does a wonderful job of covering many topics relevant to teens turning into adults. My favorite parts were: Finances, resilience, and confidence. I believe teens have a hard time listening to their parents for advice on these things, so a BOOK on it is a great idea. Love this for a gift idea too. Great graduation, birthday, or college acceptance gift.

Great For Building Teen Confidence!

I got this for my teenage daughter, and it’s been a great for how she's been handling real world challenges. It covers everything from decision making to social skills in a way that’s easy to understand and actually useful. She's already started applying some of the strategies, and I can see a boost in confidence. It’s practical without feeling preachy, which is a huge plus. Highly recommend for any parent wanting to give their teen a solid foundation for independence!

Great guide

Super chill and actually helpful! I wish I had this book sooner—it breaks stuff down in a way that makes sense without sounding like a lecture. It’s like having a cool older sibling giving you real advice on life, goals, money, and stress. Total game-changer for teens.

With Six Grands; We will use this book!

The concept of agreeing to disagree communication and the examples will be in my tool box. Seeing conflict as a challenge, not a roadblock changes the way you move forward, loved the idea. Body language interpretation playing a significant role causes me to pause and pay attention now when interacting in a group. Multiple ways to minimize miscommunication, good practical training. Loved the saying "Time you enjoy wasting is not wasted time". How to beat procrastination tips were practical. Bouncing back from tough times is good personal growth information for any age.

This book was a gentle reminder that you can be the person you Want to be! From money tips to suggestions on handling awkward social times, so many practical ideas to make life a little easier to navigate. I highly recommend reading or listening. The audio version was very enjoyable!

Great rescores for teens to excel

My teen is getting ready to graduate soon, and I felt she was a bit behind socially. I found this new audiobook and gave it to her as a gift. She is loving it. She is using the recommendations and now feels better about her independence and ability to integrate socially. The book is well written and at the teen level. The narrator is so easy to follow. We would definitely recommend this book for teens who need a boost in confidence before they head out to college.

I really enjoyed listening to this one. It’s full of useful advice on confidence, independence, and decision-making, all things every teen needs but doesn’t always get taught. The narration is also easy to follow, and the tips are practical, not just feel-good motivation. I especially liked the sections on handling social challenges and making smart choices in everyday life. If you’re a teen (or know one) who wants to feel more prepared for the real world, this is a great listen!

This book is a great guide to be used by anyone raising teens or by teens that are ready to take more responsibility of their lives. Each chapter focuses in a different aspects of like that a teen should learn to manage or develop. The book cover topics that go from life skills to relationships and many more milestones in between. Each chapter begins with an inspirational quote that encompass the topic of each chapter. The last chapter is ideal to close with in this topic since the audiobook focuses it in developing a balance life style. All examples provided are practical and clearly laid out. It a great book for teens!
