This Ain't No Romance But It's A Damn Good Book

What did you love best about Empire?

I loved (and hated) it's savage darkness. This book was a very realistic portrayal of life in the world of the Cartel and Biker gangs.

Marianna runs on survival mode. She is beat down but not beaten. She has an ally and true love with John. But they have to hide in the shadow of that sadistic @sshole, Dornan.

This book, this trilogy, as much as I loved it, hurt my heart with its bleakness.

What other book might you compare Empire to and why?

There really is no comparison to other books. As my title says, this is not a romance, really. I had no idea what I was getting into when I started the trilogy. I'm glad I gave it a chance.

Which character – as performed by Molly Glenmore and Roger Douglas – was your favorite?

Marianna of course was my favourite and Molly Glenmore did an exceptional job narrating her. She captured all the emotion and personality of Marianna and really brought her to life.

John was also my favourite. He was a good man stuck in a sh*tty world where he had to do sh*tty things that went against his own moral code. He was just trying to do his best for his daughter and Marianna.

I absolutely adore Roger Douglas as a narrator. He narrated Dornan, John and Agent what's-his-name excellently. He has the sexiest voice and it's a shame he hasn't narrated any other books. I'd love to listen to him narrate more books.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Absolutely. I was so excited when I saw this was finally available on Audiobook.

Amazing....

Thus book is an edge of your seat page turner. My new favorite author. Can't wait for the next series.

I have waited so long for this audiobook, and it did not disappoint!!!!!
This is a Brutally Dark but so deliciously great series.I am a big Gypsy Brothers Fan and if you have not read or listened to the first 2 books stop now and start from the beginning or you will most likely hate it! Lilli does not sugar coat anything!!
Dornan, John and Ana's love story is incredibly complicated but disturbingly beautiful.( no it is not a three way!)
Their stories are far to involved to try and write a review without giving too many spoilers, so all I can say is proceed with caution this is not for the squeamish or faint of heart! pay attention or you will miss the equally complicated but beautiful ending to their story!
Thank You Audible for this incredible listen and for putting the perfect voice actors with an amazing writer! Molly Glenmore is a 10 star Voice Actor, along with Roger Douglas they really made the print come virtually alive!!
For me this was worth the three credits, I would have paid more!!!!!

Great End to a series

I finished this book a few days ago. I still cannot get it out of my head. This was an amazing end to a great series. I have not read the Gypsy Brothers series because it is not on audio. However, after reading this series I think I might have read with my eyes. The ending was dark, violent, and twisted. So if that is not you thing you might have a hard time reading this one. I got completely pulled in to the story. I hope that the Gypsy Brothers series become available on audible. This book will go on my fave list for 2017. The narration was great. Empire is a must read.

Wanted more of an ending.

I was really hoping for a great ending to this trilogy. This book was as good as the first two books. Filled with plot twist & suspense.
However, I have a few problems with the ending. There is an extremely disturbing scene that is worse than all the other demented acts performed by Dornan. The ending takes place in the last 15 minutes if the book. It was disappointing. Especially after the horrific act the chapter before the ending.

What a UNBELIEVABLE story from start to end! I found this series but never ever thought it was such a great throughly impressive and thought through storyline. Times I couldn't help but laugh from the unimaginable histeracal way Anna and others would freak out . It had all the emotions that a human being could possibly go through. EXTRAORDINARY AND Eye opening. I wish I found more stories like this!!!

Great series, but....

I loved this series!! The story was gripping, the narrators were perfect BUT I hated the ending. I'm a stickler for HEA, and I really really really wanted there to be some sort of HEA. :(

Poor Ana

Well I have listened to the series. I have really enjoyed the characters. I kept hoping Ana and John would escape and have a better life. But there is never a perfect ending ever in fiction or non-fiction. I would love to know what happened to Doran and his crazy Dad Emilo. I hope audio add the Gypsy brothers series. I would love to know how Juliet got even. Overall, the series is worth it. The narrator's are awesome. Love Molly Glenmore, she is an excellent narrator. Enjoy the series🙂

This whole series is so so so good!!!! It had me so emotional!!!! Cryn prayn n everything in btween!!!! I had no idea it would b like this bt i recommend this series a absolute MUST LISTEN!!!!
