Elisabeth Elliot (1926–2015) is one of the most widely known Christians of the twentieth and twenty-first centuries. After the death of her husband, Jim, and four other missionaries at the hands of Waorani tribesmen in Ecuador, Elliot famously returned to live among the same people who had killed her husband. Beautifully written biography of Elisabeth Elliott
I cried at the end of this book— perhaps from spending 25 hours listening and being sad it was over, or perhaps in relief for Elliott that her suffering was complete. So much uncertainty and unknown in Elliott’s life - it taught me that we are all just doing the best we can with what we have - daily, moment by moment prayerful obedience to God
