Emotional, hilarious and sexy

And away we go!

Elder Bonds is a series of well written, fun, sexy and emotionally driven novellas that offer us an insight into the Immortal Curse series. Best read between Blood Heart and Blood Bonds, Elder Bonds helps to answer some questions all real fans want to know.

This is the first time we really get a good taste of Lucius, Balthazar, Alic, and even Eli, with visits from a pre and post Lizzy Jay. We really get to hear the elders in their between novella banter (which is a little odd if you haven’t read the book, but I promise, it’s still funny). Between each novella is a little script between the elders and added characters that help tie everything together and bring laughs to the forefront.

The novellas really help add to the series and satisfy a craving of extra content to fill things in. Nothing in here is so essential that if you missed it you’d be lost in the main storyline of the Immortal Curse series, but yet...skipping this feels like such a loss.

Lexi really flexes her dramatic muscles with heartbreak, redemption, hope and happiness on every page. These stories aren’t all happy, but they give you a small satisfying glimpse into what makes these elders tick. And hey, for the first time we really get to see B in action, not just flirting with Issac. It’s a beautiful thing.

As for the narration: as much as I absolutely love Kale and Sarah, I was happy to hear the return of Troy Duran. Kale does an amazing job of truly bringing Balthazar and Issac to life, but Troy with always be Jay.

Performances here really show the character voices of each actor. Sarah, Kale and Troy seamlessly transition between characters, and easily differentiating between voices with their banter even without much content between the vocals. I can easily tell who is talking even without a mention of a name, and that shows the true breadth of talent in voice actors.

Overall a serious 5/5 right here. For fans of the Immortal Curse series pick. This. Up.

If only more were written similar less confusing and more of the story

I am absolutely amazed at the exceptional story however you are absolutely going to have a hard time with understanding things in general much less if you have not followed up previously with the blood laws series

This was definitely an unique ride. My guess is that this collection of stories started out as “deleted scenes”, from some of the novels, in this series. It’s entertaining and informative but, it isn’t absolutely necessary, in order to follow the series.

With that being said, I’m glad I purchased and listened, to it. It really helped me understand the characters and some past events, that
Shaped them.

This is the first experience I’ve had with this author and some of the narrators. Boy, I had really
Been missing out.

Wow!!

omg!! I absolutely loved this!! it was like a behind the scenes look into this world and characters!! I loved seeing more into them and it kinda fills in some of the pieces. definitely a great book to read to help get to know the story and people better!! I absolutely love the immortal Curse series and this book is like extra frosting on a already yummy cupcake!!!

Fun Romp!

What a fun romp with some of my favorite characters in the series. It was great to see these guys in action during their down time and to get some history behind the legends. I'm burning to get to the next book in the series. While many questions were answered, a whole new realm of possibilities was open up. On to Blood Bonds.

The narration was spot on, as always with these narrators. They make the characters and the story come alive!

Great Stories, Info and Filler

Again, I love these narrators. I love the writing, the characters and the stories. This was fantastic because I got backstory, and inside jokes explained. I loved it, this came at a great point in the series and made me look forward to reading/listening to the next book. I’ve been hooked on this series from book one and I love it all.

Elder bonds

I adore these characters so much! I loved getting a bunch of my questions answered along with getting to spend more time with these amazing characters. It was a joy to get this history. Definitely a bit different from the other stories we’ve gotten to enjoy in this world. Getting the elder’s back stories made me so happy. I can’t wait to get to see even more of these characters!

Definitely read

I suggest anyone delving into the IC world definitely read this between books 3 and 4. You learn so much backstory and B is the perfect character to lead the reading. He’s hilarious! And grab tissues during Eli’s story, it’s heartbreaking.

Love the elders!!

I absolutely adore the elders and their interactions with each other and all the other characters of the Immortal Curse world. We get a nice peek into several different key points in time, including how they originally met, when the treaty between Hydrians and Ecorians was created, the very sad story of when they lost Eli, Pancakes vs Waffles (Brazil!!! Maple Body Shots!!!), Lizzie and Jason’s Halloween engagement party, and a little bonus story about a surprise birthday party for Issac. It was so much fun getting a little deeper glimpse into the tight knit group, and the orgy-tastic fun that B and Luc often enjoyed together. I highly recommend going the audiobook route with this book, because even though it’s not a traditional book, the conversational tone of the stories, as well as the character’s discussions in between the stories, are made even better by the expert narration of Sarah Puckett, Kale Williams, and Troy Durant. They absolutely bring these characters to vivid life, perfectly bringing forth each voice and each character with seeming ease.

Quick and fun addition to the series

I throughly enjoyed this “insider view” of the Immortal Curse World. As a reader with many, many questions about IC, this book provides several answers. You feel as if you’re there with the characters as they’re explaining past situations. You’ll have several “ahh hahhh” moments, as well as, laugh and cry (as with any of her books). I highly recommend diving into this addition to an already amazing series. I will mention that Elder Bonds happens between Blood Heart and Blood Bonds, I don’t want anyone to experience spoilers (unless you enjoy spoilers, then jump in)
