Easing into the Dhammapada, the second title in the Easing into Collection, is designed as an appetizer, a crunchy, sometimes sweet and occasionally salty, introduction to one of the oldest scriptures of the Buddhist canon.
Rather than working through the Dhammapada chapter by chapter, the author guides you through the verses thematically so you'll have a strong grasp of the content of the scripture. She cites where the great ideas appear and invites you into further study.
Responsive poetry and at least five questions posed at the end of each chapter help stimulate small group interaction or individual journaling experiences.
