"Dale Brown is a superb storyteller." (W. E. B. Griffin)

In this thrilling geopolitical technological adventure from New York Times best-selling legend Dale Brown, Brad McLanahan and the Space Force must fight to preserve America’s freedom when a pair of ruthless enemies forge an unlikely alliance to control not only the earth, but the moon and beyond.

Because its enemies never stop trying to undermine the United States’ security, the men and women who serve to protect America must always be vigilant. Few know this better than warriors Brad McLanahan and Nadia Rozek. Newly married, the two are just beginning to settle into their new life together when they are called back into action. Though the Russians were badly defeated by Brad and the Iron Wolf Squadron in their previous bid for world dominance, they are back and doubling down on their quest for control of outer space. In addition to their cutting-edge weaponry, they have a formidable new ally: China’s energetic and ruthless leader, President Li Jun.

To protect America and the rest of the free world from the Russians and the Chinese, the Americans plan to mine the moon’s helium-3 resources, which will allow them to fully exploit the revolutionary fusion power technology Brad and his team captured from the Russians aboard the Mars One weapons platform. But Leonov and Li have devised a daring plan of their own. They are building a joint secret base on the moon’s far side fortified with a powerful Russian plasma rail gun that can destroy any spacecraft entering lunar orbit. If the heavily armed base becomes operational, it will give America’s enemies control over the world’s economic and military future.

As this latest skirmish in the war for space accelerates, Brad, Nadia, and their compatriots in the Space Force must use their cunning and skill - and America’s own high-tech weaponry - to derail the Sino-Russian alliance and destroy their lunar site before it’s too late for the US...and the entire world.

FUN STORY

Been buying these books at a discount price Audible was suggesting on my app and this author is one of my favorite now...listened to all the books they had on sale by Dale Brown and every one of them worth every penny ...America is at a forefront of it's superiority over other nations as new tech allows pilots enter low Earth orbit , engines developed by talented American engineer are capable to do that and more...

Good story, very believable.

Sadly, what this story talks about is very probable, and my military family tells me that we are far behind.

Almost Ripped from Today’s Future Headlines

Quality Dale Brown novel, and Great narration by Corey Snow. Nice jaunt in to somewhat realistic Sci-Fi.

Great follow on book from Kremlin strike.

This book was high octane so to speak because in the parts where it needed to speed ahead it did so.
Unfortunately some of it was predictable such that it made the Americans look A little impotent. You knew that skymasters incorporated would come to the rescue.

Out of this world!!!

I’m always pleased to see the next Dale Brown book at the shelves.

The space battles are riveting and Nadia and Brad are without a doubt an unstoppable duo.

Omit character list and glossary

Especially since most are thoroughly explained multiple times within the book itself. Overall, an excellent book.

a look into the future.

Good story line but if you have listened to other Dale Brown books you might be able to predict where the plot is going. more importantly is the look into the future. how much is fiction and how much is what is already happening?

There are no good villains left to fight.

The book is a slow burn. Only the last 90 minutes or so is entertaining. There is a side quest at the beginning that has nothing to do with the moon. Involving espionage and counter espionage actions and our heroes trying to rescue some of their own. The book is full of tropes that one might expect. Government, bureaucrats, and politicians are bad. “Sky Masters” and “Scion” are good. It just drags on to the point of wanting the book to end just to go on to something else. I grew up on the Mclanahan Series. Read “Flight of the Old Dog” as a teen and again in my mid 20s. The Mclanahan series was my favorite saga. Better than Clancy, Custler, or Griffin. The characters were deep, the villains dangerous, the battles large and the stakes high. Unfortunately, the series has become a victim of its own success. The real villains have long ago been defeated. The technology has gotten so far ahead of its time it’s difficult to build a story around. The battlefield may have expanded into space, but the characters and conflicts are so small they seem almost irrelevant. General Mclanahan is essentially “retired” as a character. And while Brad, his son, is a good substitute, he has never been able to replace his old man as a believable protagonist. At the same time Scion as a private corporation cannot compare to the “Air Battle Force” of the earlier books. If you are looking for the large scale character and technology driven conflicts of the old Mclanahan saga you will likely be left disappointed. I always wondered if the series would end. And if it did I hoped there would be an ending that brought closure to over 30 years of character development, world building, and reader investment. I am not sure if this is where we leave these characters for good. But in many ways, riding into the sunset, once again having won the day, I somewhat hope that this is the long goodbye.
