Heartfelt!

Collette always brings us such wonderfully written stories to keep us believing in love. James lost his young love to a Duke. She had to marry an old man to see that her mother and sisters had a roof over their head. Stevie Zimmerman is always a joy to listen to her narration. She has the perfect accent to draw me into the characters.

Healing Hearts

This is a lovely Valentine’s Day story. James and Regine are wonderful characters and so much alike. They are both dedicated to and protective of those they love. It might not be easy to get past their broken hearts, but their sisters and friends are determined to help them find a second chance at happiness. I enjoyed this heartwarming story. Stevie Zimmerman's narration is quite good, as always. It is a truly Happy Valentine.

A sweet romance

It was a nice little audiobook. I wish it were longer but it was nice for reading on the fly.

Second chance at love

Collette has done it again with this story. Two hearts becoming one after family drama pulled them apart. This a quick beautiful read. Sweet but engaging from beginning to end. The narrator was engaging and kept me interested from beginning to end. I recommend this book to everyone.

A Second Chance

Below is my review from reading this beautiful story but once listening to the audible, it seemed brand new! Stevie Zimmerman is one of my favorite narrators. She is spot on with the characters voices and inflections and combined with Collette's words, it is perfect!
A second chance at love that weaves a spell around you Collette Cameron is famous for with her wonderful words and characters. Having been young and in love, only wanting to marry, Regine and James had that torn from them. She had made the decision to marry for money since she, her mother and sister were left with horrible debt at the death of her father. Of course it had broken her heart but James would not even give her the chance to explain.
Now back in London, eight years later she sees him sitting in a coffee shop. She knew she should walk on put "Piffle and twaddle. Regine wasn't a shrinking violet. Never had been. A swift Hello and, How are you? ought to suffice."
Needless to say, she could not take her eyes off him and sitting down at his table he could only give her an icy stare.
Is there hope for these two? He had always been close in her thoughts. What had he felt?
Really enjoyed this story as all of this series and cannot wait for more!

Thoroughly enjoyed this novella..

This was a very sweet story. A second chance love, my favorite!
There was a few words about passion but no sex, which I'm glad of. There's nothing worse than a novella full of sex. Not that I mind sex, but not in a novella.

And I liked Regine and James. She gave up 8 years of the man she loved for her family.

As to the narration: Perfectly read by Stevie Zimmerman. An awesome narrator. She does a man's voice wonderfully, unlike soooo many other female narrators who still have their heroes sounding just like girls. Ugh!

Great story, quick read, wonderful narrator

I enjoyed this quick read. Regine and James had been in love. Circumstances ripped them apart. Now was their second chance at love. The sacrifices that Regine made were great, and I loved her dedication to family and friends. I also loved how James was growly one moment and then protective and caring the next while he worked his way through his true feelings. I felt the love and pain of these two and breathed a sigh of relief at the end. I recommend this story.

I had an opportunity to listen to Stevie Zimmerman narrate for the audiobook. She did a superb job bringing this wonderful couple to life. Read or listen, this is a great story.

It’s okay

Story by internal thoughts! This was an okay short story, though it leans on my least favorite type of filler—words inside the heads of characters. I prefer more interaction and dialog. Also, for such a short book, it still manages to squeeze in a lot of embarrassing and eye-rolling terms for the H’s physical desire for the h. Stevie Zimmerman is excellent as always.
