Making the Basics Fun to Learn

This Spanish course is a fun and easy way to pick up the basics of Spanish before traveling without becoming bogged down into the complicated and grammatically boring side of a class you get if you were taking a language course in school. What I also like about this course is that it is using words and phrases which will work whether you are in Spain or in a Latin American country such as Mexico. There are differences. When reading out of a Spanish/English dictionary, my wife (who speaks Spanish of the Mexican decent) will often say those words are used in Spain, but it is used differently or means something slightly differently to Mexican speakers. Most of what I heard on this course would work well with which ever countries you traveled to. I would have liked to see a companion PDF download with this course since it helps to visualize a word as you hear it. This course worked well when driving back and forth to work and then practicing with my wife at home. For just one credit, you can't go wrong with this either.

Fun, not boring

Learn with humor and common sense. I really enjoyed this spanish course! I tried a couple of others and they bored me and I quit. This time I actually learned! Horay for Dr. Blair! My trip will be more fun! I highly recommend this!

Love the word tricks

Overall, this audio was excellent. Very good pacing and a lot of great little tricks for remembering things. There was only one chapter that really threw me off – – when they were talking about these, this and those…It got very confusing learning about eight different terms at one time. I mainly listened in the car. For this chapter, it probably would’ve been better to have been able to write the terms down. Overall, it was a fun audio that seemed to really have a good handle on catering to its audience.

A better way to learn

Dr. Blair's Spanish in No Time is a fun way to learn Spanish. My only suggestion would be to include a guide.

its basically how I managed to memorize things my entire life. a few words were difficult to understand. but all in all I learned quite a bit.
