Great Potential

This book had great potential, with an engaging lead character (30 something female lawyer) who actually cared more about people than money. Unfortunately, for an intelligent woman, Claire made the most amazingly stupid decisions.

I had hoped for an engrossing legal drama but got a bad sit-com crossed with amateur sleuthing.. Why would an author create an educated female adult character, then have that person act brain dead? Such a waste!

A different format from Linda

Definitely intriguing format. Loved the off again/on again relationships. Excited for the next installment. Next?

Needed more clousure

Hated that Clare never realized what a bitch she was and never appreciated her man. I wish there would have been a better happyly everafter

The strong woman main character.

I love a multi- story line read. It keeps you guessing. The narrator was very good.

Disappointed in Narration

This is a pretty good book by Linda Lael Miller but definitely not her best series. The narrator was so dry, boring, and unemotional that I almost stopped listening. The narrator's voice sounded too old for the character of Clare and absolutely cannot do a Hispanic accent worth a crap.

Wow! One wild ride!

From the beginning to the end this was just one crazy crime and romantic adventure and mystery all mixed together for a great story. Love this author and haven’t been disappointed by any of her books!

A little long winded...

I generally like every thing I’ve read from Linda Lael Miller, this book was no different. The narrator’s voice was a good fit for the type of characters in the modern murder mystery. However, I felt like the story just went on a little longer than was really necessary before everything was wrapped up. She really could have saved herself some time and solved it a bit sooner. Still a good story though.

Linda Lael Miller is amazing. How many books has she written?

This book is totally unlike any of the other books I have read by Linda Lael Miller. It was a mystery with, of course, some romance. This book just shows the author’s ability to tell a story whether it is in the past, present, in a city or country.

when the book started I didn't think I was going to enjoy it but I am really glad that I stuck it out. this is going to go under one of my favorite.

Kept me very interested

A page turner for sure and excellent narrator except for male lead . I heard better Italian accents but I got over it to finish this book
