Acerca de esta escucha

When Cammie Morgan arrives at her friend Macey's five star hotel for the Democratic National Convention - where Macey's father is about to receive the vice presidential nomination - she thinks she's in for an exciting end to her summer break. But if you're a Gallagher Girl, "exciting" and "deadly" are never far apart.

Things quickly go south when Macey is summoned to the hotel roof to shoot a PR piece with the presidential candidate's son. But instead of cameras, attackers descend from a helicopter and swarm the girls, commanding, "Grab her." After a narrow escape, Cammie and Macey find themselves at a top secret hideout owned by the Gallagher Academy...and thus begins Cammie's junior year at spy school.

Cammie doesn't need her genius IQ to see that the kidnapping attempt has changed everything, especially now that Macey is a major celebrity, and the school has been besieged by news crews. More disturbing, Cammie can't shake the suspicion that her mom and Mr. Solomon know more about the attack than they're letting on. After all, why weren't the attackers surprised to find themselves in combat with two teenage girls who handled themselves like seasoned pros?

But these suspicions won't stop Cammie from jumping at the chance to join Bex and Liz as Macey's private security team on the campaign trail. Before long, the girls are using their espionage skills at every turn, as Cammie gets closer and closer to the shocking truth...

Awesome female lead!

My sister and I went on a roadtrip a few months back and choose this as a book we could both enjoy on the 12 hour trip. We loved it! The Raudman does a great job of capturing Cammie's panic and excitement as she continues her training at the Gallagher school. This was one of my favorites in this series and I'm saving the next two for our next roadtrip!

Not realistic...but it's fiction, right?

Would you consider the audio edition of Don't Judge a Girl by Her Cover to be better than the print version?

Haven't read the print version. But it would be hard to be better than the audio version.

What other book might you compare Don't Judge a Girl by Her Cover to and why?

Any of the Harry Potter books, to some extent, as read by Jim Dale.

What about Renée Raudman’s performance did you like?

She seems to have nailed the teenage girl sound.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

No

The Book Where Cammie Grows Up

**NO SPOLIERS IN THIS REVIEW ABOUT THIS BOOK :)**
About this book: Cameron Ann Morgan has just had a pretty good last semester, she managed to mostly get over her first boyfriend and first kiss, Josh. She has met a new friend, Zac. Sammie never know s if Zac is on her tail. But the summer before Cammie's next year at The Gallagher Academy for Exceptional Young Woman. Sammie is invited to Boston to be the +1 with her best friend, Macy Mckenry at a National Political Convention. Macy's father is trying to become Vice President for the United States of America. But Macy's mind is on other things. But then Cammie's world turn upside down . She finds herself stuck on a rooftop in Boston with people who want to kill her.

My review: I've review ed the first two books in this series! For me, this has been the best book so far in the serires! I personally feel that in this book, we see more spy and less boys, which I like. I also love the narration, the narration is smooth and the narrators voice is like honey. In this book, Cammie leads about terrible people who want to.kill her, she gets stronger and becomes the warrior, not the worrier. Cammie also learns who is by her side and who isnt . I definitely recommend this amazing book and the rest of Ms. Carter's work.

NARRATION.QUALITY: This book was amazing, including the narration quality. I could feel Cammie's nervousness and pain. The accents and voices of the other characters were good.

BLUSH FACTOR: Not much.

RECCOMENDATION: Anyone can read this, I recommend this to teens and adults (12+).

Thanks for reading my review!

Best of Gallagher Girls yet!

Super well written mysteries /spy novels with great peppering of friendship/romance even for adults. The settings are lovely, the characters well developed, interesting and just different enough to be fun. I enjoy that I don't always figure out what is going on mid-way through the story. And the best part...I am learning spy techniques while I read. Or am I?

Absolutely love this series!

I absolutely adore this series. It's full of fun twists. Dramatic to an extent--but not so hyped up as most teen novels of today.

Love this Series!

This series gets better with each book. I really enjoyed the first two, but thought they were cute and light reading. This third installment kicks up the action a little bit and Cammie and her friends start to grow up a little more.

Not as Entertaining

This book was a fun listen, but it was not as entertaining as the previous books in this series. I enjoy the "spy parts" of these books, but this book did not have as much spy drama as I like. It still was a great book and worth listening to. Once again the narration was tops!

First Real Mission for the Gallagher Girls

The Gallagher Girl books are good, clean YA stories with teen girl protagonists attending an all-school for training to be spies. The characters are all more capable in at least one area than would be generally believable, but that is true for most YA series and does not detract as their insecurities, misunderstandings and emotions are right for the tween years. The introduction of real threats from outside and deep threats from the past proivide an engaging story and a promising set up for the rest of the series. An enjoyable listen for those wanting strong heroines or fun spy stories.

Gallagher Girls get their first real mission

The narrator did much better with this book than the previous book.

While the first couple of books are more lighthearted with the spy girls doing typical teen things (like crushes, learning to drive, and lip gloss), this one gets a little more serious. As they’re getting more experienced, the things they face are getting more real. I also felt like there were deeper emotions from the various characters. I loved the returning characters, and the new characters introduced were great. This series is so nostalgic from my preteen/teen years. Looking forward to rereading the next!
