If you are an up worker free lancer go for it!
Considering there are not many books on Upwork this was the better of the two is it covered a lot of good tips and samples of proposals and cover letters. I would say it’s a good read.

Very useful information
Yes, he advises to not take projects for Chinese clients. He's right that most are impossible to please, and you'll take a hit to your rating for even trying. You can deny it all you want. It doesn't change the fact that he's right.
