Nachdem er den Häuptling des Dorfes besiegt hat, wagt sich Dallion in die Stadt Nerosal, in der es Tausende von Erwachten gibt, von denen nicht alle Menschen sind. Seine neuen Ziele sind die gleichen wie die vieler Erwachter in Kleinstädten: sich anpassen, einer Gilde beitreten und sich einen Namen machen.
Jetzt muss er sich schnell an das Stadtleben anpassen, wenn er mithalten will. Er könnte sich darauf konzentrieren, so schnell wie möglich im Level aufzusteigen, mächtige Freunde und Gildenverbindungen zu knüpfen oder sich mit den Wächtern der Vergangenheit neue Ausrüstung zu beschaffen. Vor allem muss er vermeiden, zu sehr zu glänzen, denn viele streben nach dem, was er will, und es gibt Kräfte, die nur allzu bereit sind, naive Erwachte auszunutzen, um ihre Ziele zu erreichen.
So viele Welten zu erforschen... So viel Zeit... Und doch nie genug...
