Zwei Jahre sind vergangen, seit Rias Leben sich für immer verändert hat. Endlich mit Percy vereint und mit der sagenumwobenen Krone von Atlantis sicher im Besitz des ozeanisch-königlichen Ordens, versucht Ria sich an ihr neues Zuhause zu gewöhnen: Ozeana, die letzte Kolonie von Atlantis.
Doch Ria fühlt sich in der Lagunenstadt fremd. Auch Percy meidet ihre Nähe. Er kann ihr nicht verzeihen, was auf Kreta mit dem finsteren Rider geschehen ist. Dabei ahnt er nichts von der Last, die auf Rias Schultern liegt. Sie hat ein Geheimnis und ist bereit alles dafür zu tun, damit der Orden nicht die Wahrheit über sie erfährt.
