Während der zweifache Fluch des Roten Durstes und der Schwarzen Wut alles bedroht, liegt es an Mephiston, zweifach geborener Herr des Todes und Scriptor-Magister der Blood Angels, die härteste Prüfung zu meistern. Unter den mächtigen Herren von Baal ist er möglicherweise der Einzige, der sie alle retten kann, wenn er es schafft, die Finsterkeit in seinem Blute zu beherrschen …
