Really bad everything!

I did not like this one, but couldn't stop listening. I kept waiting for it to get better by finding out what the lead characters saw in each other. This just seemed to be a toxic relationship built on angry sex. Even after finding out about all the blackmail and throughout all the manipulation, it was just bad. I would be upset if I had to pay for this one. The thing is, I've listened to other stories written by this author, and I did like some of those, but she misses the mark with this one.

well that was a serious train wreck

so without spoilers it's hard to explain exactly how bad this really is. It would have been so much better if Tristan was the MMC. I'm going out on a limb and giving the benefit of the doubt that most of what Mason did was smoke and mirrors and he really did love her. However he still dragged her out of the house during a storm and left her twice! There is simply no world in which this man deserved any type of forgiveness let alone a happily ever after.

I don’t usually review books. I listen to and read hundreds of romance books a year. I can say this is the worse. Once I got to 50% I skimmed the book hoping it would get better. It reminds me of the short reel movies with how far from reality everything in this book is. How people can say this is a great book makes me think they are fake. I was even wondering if the entire book was written by ai. Don’t waste your time.
