This book causes sleep deprivation!

I had never listened to a Kate Wilhelm book, so I started this book last Friday (when I should have been doing work), planning to just listen while I made breakfast. Well...I ended up listening to it all day and night until I finished it, even though that meant 3 a.m.! I just relistened to the second half again today, and I just really enjoyed it. She does a great job with character development, etc., but as a law student, I especially loved hearing her trial descriptions. In fact, her cross examinations were so good that I felt like I could justify listening to this instead of studying!

Absolutely terrific

This was a wonderful story! I had never read this author before and am thrilled to find she has written several books --- all of which I intend to read as fast as membership allows! This is a fast-paced story but still offers good character development. Don't miss this one.

A good listen

Excellent story, saw some things coming but they didn't take away from the overall quality of the storytelling. I wish I could afford DSL so I could understand the narrator better, but at AM quality it's pretty poor and at MP3 quality would take me 4 DAYS to download. Still the narrator does a good job switching between characters.

Want to know what happened to Alex

great writer, good narrator, worth the credit. Lots of twists and turns. Hope the author brought back her assistant so I know what happened with her and Alex. Besides being good fiction it also taught a lesson everyone should learn..just because we are different on the outside we are still human inside.

This was a great book! I enjoyed all of the books in this series, but this was simply amazing.

Kate Wilhelm writes easy to follow story and getting to know the characters. Narrator also skilled.

Great multiple murder mystery. It would make a great movie! It keeps you interested all the way through!
