Aber bald stellt sich heraus, dass in dem Kochbuch auch Zauberformeln stehen, mit denen dunkle Mächte gerufen werden können – und Fionna befürchtet, eine davon hat etwas mit ihrer fragwürdigen Herkunft zu tun.
Privatdetektivin Abbey Fine ist auf der Suche nach einem wertvollen alten Kochbuch, das ihrem – zugegebenermaßen sehr dubiosen – Klienten gestohlen wurde. Die Spur führt an den Loch Lomond, genauer gesagt, in den unheimlichen Keller der Simmonds, wo anscheinend teuflische Dinge vor sich gehen...
