Die deutsche Autorin Gabreille C. J. Couillez wurde 1965 in Rheinland-Pfalz geboren. Couillez absolvierte nach der Schule eine Ausbildung zur Rechtsanwaltsgehilfin. Mit dem Schreiben begann sie vor mehr als 25 Jahren. Um ihren behinderten Sohn in seiner Entwicklung zu fördern, schrieb sie ihm Kindergeschichten. Couillez entdeckte ihr Talent und begann allmählich auch Romane für ein erwachsenes Publikum zu schreiben. Heute ist sie Autoren von Historienromanen. Ihre Kinderbücher sind auf Lesungen dennoch ein fester Bestandteil ihres Repertoires.
