In The Thumbmark of St Peter Miss Marple tells how she was able to help her niece when the poor girl was accused of poisoning her husband. In The Herb of Death foxglove leaves are picked with sage for the dinner with disastrous results, and a burglary at a riverside bungalow sets off an unusual chain of events in The Affair at the Bungalow. In the final story, Sir Henry Clithering, ex-commissioner of Scotland Yard, is staying with his friends Colonel and Mrs Bantry, when news arrives that the village innkeeper’s daughter has met her ‘death by drowning.’

I have always loved Miss Marple and this was no exception. I love how she works out the murders and enjoyed listening to this selection. The narration was good.

Hickson is Mrs. Marple. Anything I can find with Hickson as Marple is a must have for me! I wish the series still came on . I miss hickson, the one and only Marple! Oh, the stories are great too.

Agatha Christie did it again.
the order of the stores is lamentable, as the first one obviously refers to happenings before, and there isn't any order to find out all the stores, but the plot thickens and the narrative is quite nice.

Obviously an excerpt; poorly organized
There are 4 stories here - though only 2 tracks, with 2 stories squished together on each. It also rather obviously starts in the middle of the frame story that connects these shorts, without even a summary to introduce it. However... I love Miss Marple, and I love Joan Hickson as Miss Marple. Just be aware of what you're getting.

This is a solid performance by Joan Hickson of five short stories, but the chapter divisions are very inconvenient. The Audiobook is divided into two chapters of approximately one hour each ...

Cut and paste of 13 Problems
Feel cheated. This was half of the book 13 Problems. It's been cut down the middle and resold. Returned as soon as I realised there were no new stories. If you already have 13 problems, don't bother with this one.
Otherwise, stories are good as all AC books are.
