Enjoyable read/listen

Death Rites (Gates of Eden: The Voodoo Legacy #3), my fourth read from author Theophilus Monroe . Well written & enjoyable read. I was given an Audible copy of this book & am voluntarily reviewing it. Sydney Fry's "narration again adds greatly to the enjoyment of the book. I look forward to the next book in this series. (RIP Marley January 20, 2014 - July 24, 2018).

Death Rites

I really enjoyed Death Rites. The story was great and I enjoyed the personalities of the characters and how they offset each other. I read Bloody Hell prior to this so it was really neat how both stories tied in together and I really felt like I stepped out of Mercy's story into this side of it and I enjoyed that tremendously.

omg im so happy that Pauli is back. I thought he was a goner in the last book. out of all the characters he's by far my favorite then of course it's Annabelle and Isabel. this book here had me laughing so much. I did get a bit heart broken when Ben died. know that was sad and all so wrong. but at least he's okay with it. I can't wait to start the next book.

Fantastic story and characters!

I truly enjoyed Death Rites the MC is fantastic and I was easily able to connect with this character! The narrator really brings this story to life.

This is the third installment in the “Gates of Eden: The Voodoo Legacy Series” I did not read the first two books and this is a complex story-line so I would recommend starting at the beginning of the series for the best reading experience. I must say I found Annabelle & Isabelle (her soul fused companion) to be a fascinating character and strong MC and the complex personality and range of motions was very well done and the other characters are also rich and detailed and make the story-line flow well as it revolves around Anna/Isa(belle).

This book was very unique for me as I don't believe I have read any other series that focuses on blending voodoo, magic, and fantasy so I really loved that aspect it felt original and captivating. The story is very well written, fast-paced, action-filled, and the world-building felt spot on making the story flow and feel realistic in a fantasy setting.

This extraordinary third book made me want to catch up on what I missed in the first two installments and I look forward to the next book in the series.

Wow

This is a brilliant series! I loved getting to know Anabelle and Isabelle in this book and watching her character grow even more. Kalfu though, he needs to get himself under control! After reading this book, I definitely think you need to start at the beginning to really understand everything. I had read book 2, then book 1, then book 2 again and now book 3. Phew.

It only keeps getting better

The adventure continues for Annabelle and crew. Theophilus has a way with telling a story. The humor always has me giggling. I can’t wait to read/listen to the next book in the Voodoo Legacy series

Now I can’t not talk about Miss Sydney Fry, the sweet beautiful narrator. She is newer to narrating, but I feel in love with this sweet girl from book 1. My 18 year old son has listened with me too and I think he has a little crush on her too. She makes Annabelle real to me in the way I expect she would be.

Death Rites

I am enjoying this series so much. Annabelle is growing in her abilities and leadership. She’s got a lot to deal with in this one and has friends she needs to try to save. The narrator did a fabulous job with these characters and the story.

Great book

This was a great book. Loved storyline. The characters are quite colorful and the narrator does a good job bringing them to life. Each one has their own flavor by the narrator and makes listening enjoyable. The world building is done right by author and the narrator has done a good job expressing that also. I received a promo code for this audiobook and this is my honest review.

This has been one amazing series and I just love the characters and fantastic worlds involved in it and what makes it better is the narration
