Acerca de esta escucha
When your arch-nemesis dies and she still won't leave you alone.
It's safe to say, Joyce and I don't get along. She's two-faced, for a start. So when she does me a solid and takes a drunken tumble and dies, I can finally forget all about her. Not that I wanted her dead.
But peace isn’t on the cards for long because Joyce isn’t really gone. For reasons known only to the twisted universe, she’s come back to haunt me.
Now, I can’t get a moment’s peace—not even in the bathroom—because this needy, ghostly, zombie version of Joyce follows me everywhere. And to make matters worse, she's the one who’s dead but still makes me feel bad about my not so exciting life. Did I mention she’s a spoilt brat and insists she can’t be without her annoying rat dog? Now I’m stuck with two useless companions.
Oh, and there’s one other tiny issue. Joyce insists her death wasn’t an accident—she claims she was pushed. And until I help her solve the mystery of her untimely demise, she’s refusing to leave me alone.
I’m just an estate agent, not a detective. But with Joyce and her annoying dog hanging over my shoulder, my well-ordered life is spiralling into chaos. Can I survive her tantrums and gas-lighting long enough to crack the case?
Find out in this darkly comedic tale of murder, mishaps, and eternal frenemyship.
*** "My god, we're so alike." Apart from our pulse but it might be insensitive to bring that up. ***
*** "Don't panic, you're already dead." Must I constantly remind her of her living status, for I had more important things to worry about. ***
*** I ignored her advice because ghosts didn't have bills to pay. She had no idea how easy she had it. ***
