It’s a good story line and a good listen. But….. it’s just Reacher with a gun.

Carver's carecter

this is nothing like what I have read from this author before, but I have loved every thing that I have read. I took the chance I bought this book, today I will start the last book in the series! I average 3 days per book! and as always, I LOVE these books! John is one of my all time favorite authors! I have laughed, cried and gone through all the emotions in his books. you will fall in love with his creation of his carecters!! if you are looking for amazing books try these!!!

Lost steam

It started out really good but it was too long. The book could've been wrapped up in 5 hours. I lost interest but finished it. I was more satisfied that it was over than the outcome.

Great series… don’t listen to the bad reviews

I want to address the one review that said this is no Jack Reacher. That’s true. It’s completely different and it’s a crazy, ongoing (in book 2… just starting 3 and I think it’s ongoing there too) story about a spec ops guy just trying to live his civilian life after his unit was disbanded. The series is all about the past affecting the future. Give it a try. I’ve listened to them all. I listen to a book a day and for the past year plus it’s all been in this genre. I’m enjoying this series and think most will too. Excellent narration. I listen to all books at 1.5-1.7 speed. It works much better that way. Start slow and keep moving up and before you know it regular speed sounds like slow mo :)

A jack Reacher knock off

Very similar character, story, dialogue to a Reacher novel. If you’ve not read Lee Child, it would be a decent book.

Carver is as good or better than Reacher!!

I’m so excited to have discovered another awesome Action adventure character! One that is super capable yet realizes his limitations and will allow suitable assistance from others. This book was full of twist & turns. Yet the author tied them up nicely. Paoula & Holly were given nice depth for supporting characters and even Det. Ritter. I loved that there was a mix of ethnicity & sexes included as more than a bad actor or two which is rare.
On to book 2!!!!

Great story!

Great first book in a series. Loved the story and the narration. Look forward to listening to them all!

Twisty

It's not super great, but not bad either. It had some good twists and a lot of action. I really enjoyed the end. Amos is very HARD to like, though.

Quite entertaining

There are some minor issues in regards to the military aspects of the book but they are just that, minor. I am a disabled combat Marine veteran and I really enjoyed it.

Great twists and turns

Good solid story of a case of revenge. Great narration by the MC. Really gets you invested in the characters.
