Sie landet vor einem märchenhaften Schloss. Niemand steht vor dem Prachtbau Wache und auch im Inneren bleibt es dunkel und scheint alles verlassen zu sein …
Am nächsten Morgen begrüßen sie die Bediensteten, als hätten sie nur auf sie gewartet. Sie wird dem Prinzen vorgeführt, der zurückgezogen auf dem Anwesen lebt. Er verhält sich herablassend und distanziert, doch sein aufbrausender und verbitterter Charakter weckt Isabelles Neugier. Als ihr das Gerücht zu Ohren kommt, er sei verflucht, schlägt ihr abenteuerlustiges Herz zwei Takte schneller.
Was hat es mit dem angeblichen Fluch auf sich, der auf dem Schloss und seinen Bewohnern lastet? Wer hat ihn verhängt? Und stimmt es wirklich, was die Dorfbewohner sich erzählen, verwandelt sich der Prinz in ein abscheuliches Biest?
