amazing

the narrators did an amazing job bring the book and characters alive. the plot and story was intense in the best of ways and definitely kept me on the edge of my seat

Good book

This is a great book. The storyline keeps you at the edge of your seat. However, I don't like the male narrator.

The MC is infuriating!!!! Male narrators infliction is off... the girl narrator is good though.

I don’t leave reviews often, however I’m trying to do better since I rely heavily on them myself. This series didn’t have many reviews but I decided to give it a try, and I’m glad I did. Great story with a different spin. The narrating isn’t the best, especially the male narration. Seems like he’s better when using a non US accent. Nonetheless, the story kept me from giving up. I’ve finished the whole series, it was worth my time and $.

Great start to a very intriguing series

Vampires control the world. Rebels are fighting them to save humans. Can't wait to see how this ends up. Great narration too.

Slow start, but…

While, in my opinion, this book has a bit of a slow start, it just got really intriguing about 1/4 of the way through. I realized that the beginning was building the back story and the foundation for the series going forward, and therefore was a bit more understandable. I recommend listening at a speed of 1.3x, otherwise the narrator’s voices and words felt as though they were going in slo-mo!

I wasn't sure but it sounded like it might be abd ofcourse it shocked me this far I'm already DDT y on book number 2 . I love the world I get immersed in the vampire world mixed with AU VAMPIRES!!! WOW! Then, the resistance and there world. I love this series so far definitely reccomend this!!!

it's perfect!

All I can wonder is where has this author been my whole life. This perfectly meshes so many of my favorite tropes. While still surprising me and constantly keeping me at my toes. the pacing is beautiful and I can't wait to dive into the next one.

Bad female lead + Bad female narrator = NOT GOOD

Why so bad you ask ......

1.) The female lead was just too weak willed to do the kinds of things her character attempted. She was kind of slow witted and you'd expect someone who did the kind of work she did, to defend herself in some kind of way, but she consistently put herself in the position of "being saved" all time. Yuck.

2.) My goodness, her constantly over dramatic, unnecessary inner mono-logs were just torture. I actually found myself having to fast forward so many parts of her going on and on. It was like she was making drawn out poems of EVERYTHING that happened to her.

3.) The narrator, Sarah Puckett was just tortuous with her breathy, mono-toned , low speech. I can't believe she'd done so many audible's. Those are ones I'll be sure to avoid, and oh man, she has so many chapters with just her, back to back. Its like they knew she was horrible, so they brought in Alex Kydd's name just to offset hers.

4.) Just FYI, I'd say the rating is probably flirty at best, so the material isn't something that can be forgiven because of any juicy romantic situations/ entertaining smut.

5.) Overall, if your looking for a hot, paranormal romance w/ likeable characters, in my opinion, this is not worth continuing, despite the cliffhanger ending.

Can't get past the Narrator voices. The guy is awful. Maybe one day I'll get through it but I doubt it.
