As great as I hoped it would be.

I'll be honest... sometimes I would sit in my car in the driveway.... after a long drive....and keep listening to the story. That's when you know you have found a great book. The entire shepherd series has exceeded my expectations and I a
lso want to give a shout out to the narrator who is fantastic. Thanks for making my long car rides more enjoyable.

Truly amazing.

I'm really not sure what else to say about this series because I have already gushed and gushed for the first two books. I have really come to love and respect this writing duo and am always impressed with the quality of their books.

What I like the most about this series is that is has such an interesting dichotomy in its subject matter. There is the CIA Action thriller/genre aspect to it that we have come to expect from this writing team, then there is the tie in to the REAL fight between good and evil and more specifically, between God and the other guy. Real evil is honestly MUCH scarier to me than a normal supernatural book about witches or vampires. I think that is what has me intrigued and I love the path that this story arc is taking, even while it can also scare me at the same time.

This book jumps everything up to another level and we have the "big" battle that we knew was coming. With that being said, even with that ending, I do not think we are anywhere near done with this fight. Unfortunately, when you are able to vanquish one of the big bads, there is always another villain that can and usually does step up to take their place.

Unfortunately, this is not a stand alone but honestly, you wouldn't want to jump in in the middle of the story. I would HIGHLY recommend finding the first book and starting from there. You will NOT be disappointed.

This series has been narrated by MacLeod Andrews and to me, that is just ANOTHER win. They are batting 1000 with me and now, I will be eagerly awaiting for the next book.

I love the mix of realistic action with the mix of supernatural. The narrator does an amazing job.

I hate I finished it because I don’t see that there is a book 4 yet. Please let there be another in this series coming soon.

Part three is just as good as part one and two

I hope they continue this series. If you like good spiritual thrillers, this is the one for you. Great Georgie so far. :-)

More excellence from Andrew’s &Wilson!

MacLeod delivers another wonderful performance of the third installment of the Shepherd’s saga. Spirituality, leadership and violence abound in this novel and I loved every second of it. Thank you to both authors and narrator, I look forward to book four!

"Dark Fall" by Andrews and Wilson is a thrilling blend of Christian fiction, military special operations, and supernatural warfare. The Shepherds Series ends with a bang, and I'm eagerly anticipating more. The pacing keeps you on the edge, and the authors' ability to seamlessly weave these genres together is impressive. MacLeod Andrews' narration is top-notch, adding depth to the story. Here's hoping we don't have to wait long for the next installment!

Excellent Third Book

If you've made it through the first two books, you know this is a military-themed book with strong Christian ideals. As a pastor, my experience is that when most authors attempt this, they fail. Either the military writing misses the mark, the focus on faith is over or under-done, or both.

With this Shepherds series, Andrews and Wilson have found a fantastic balance that I really have enjoyed, and if this is the end of the series, It's one I will miss. These are very good stories and the focus on faith is balanced and yet adds to the stories.

As always, MacLeod Andrews does a fantastic job in bringing the story and the characters to life and in keeping the listener engaged. It's always a pleasure to listen to him narrate a book.
