Total Suspense, Surprises & Deeply Compelling!
This story grabs you from the first and never let's you go. It is tense and deep, scary and beautiful, an amazing and unforgettable read. Clues are subtle, characters are memorable, and the strength of the story is unforgettable. This is a treasure not to be missed. I will definitely be re-reading this numerous times as one of my favorites, a deeply compelling and inspiring read. I pray the next book will be also in audio format.

Wonderful story of forgiveness and new love
Mitch Whitehorse is a former US Marshall who is most notably known for apprehending a serial killer, Wade Whitehorse, his brother. That was a few years ago and now Mitch is looking down the barrel of a gun, with his brother at the other end. When his ex-sister-in-law saves his life, he’s not sure that he can trust her. After all, she had to have known that her husband had been kidnapping, torturing and killing women on their property. But Jane Reyes has always claimed that she was innocent but the court of public opinion has never believed her. She has come to warn her brother-in-law that her ex has escaped from prison but she’s almost too late. Now Mitch, Jane and US Marshalls are on the hunt for the serial killer before he can get to Jane and her closely guarded secret, her son.
Great plot with lots of interesting characters, an adorable toddler...and a rescued kitten. The narrator did an excellent job in building up the suspense.
Worth the read/listen.
