However, when her family is uprooted to become tenant farmers in a distant community, Dahlia’s quest for fearlessness ultimately sets her on a path of recklessness. What she fails to realize is that the secret to living a fearless life has been hers all along. And that treasure? Well, it just might hold the answer after all.

A beautiful story!

We (my husband and I) both thoroughly enjoyed listening to this story of Dahlia and her family. Narrated by the author herself, this story took me to a place where I felt right at home. If you grew up as I did listening to your grandparents tell stories of their childhood, you will love Dahlia in Bloom! I got teary several times and felt like I knew each of the characters deeply. I highly recommend you carve out a few hours, sit on the front porch, and let Dahlia warm your heart.

Heartfelt and beautiful

I love this story! It is so sweet, and Susan Koehler did great - in her narration and the writing of the book. I would love a sequel, but I would be perfectly fine just re-reading and listening to this audiobook again and again.

The characters were very real - it felt like I knew Dahlia and her family. That’s the thing about good books; it’s like a movie but better.
