Over the past two decades, I've honed the craft of soapmaking. However, the pandemic's supply chain disruptions prompted me to explore healthier, natural methods for creating essential household products, including shampoo, conditioner, bubble bath, body and shower gels, laundry detergent, hand sanitizer, kitchen and bathroom cleaners, and even pet wash. A clean home is a healthy and happy home.
With a large family, our demand for these products is substantial. Through diligent research and experimentation, I developed straightforward recipes utilizing natural, healing herbs and essential oils, eliminating the need for harsh chemicals.
Many commercial antibacterial soaps contain chemicals that may disrupt hormone balance. Following the FDA's ban on triclosan, alternatives like benzalkonium chloride, benzethonium chloride, and chloroxylenol (PCMX) have been used. Fortunately, there are gentler, safer natural alternatives. You can create effective antibacterial cleansers at home that not only protect your family but also nourish their skin.
In this comprehensive soapmaking guide, I provide clear instructions, illustrations, and tables to simplify the process.
