Durante la época victoriana se convirtió en tradición para los editores de periódicos y revistas imprimir historias de fantasmas durante la temporada navideña. La idea era que las familias pudieran leerlas en invierno junto a la chimenea o a la luz de las velas. Este libro recopila, por primera vez, trece de estos cuentos, que incluyen una amplia gama de historias de diversos autores, algunos tan conocidos como Conan Doyle, otros anónimos u olvidados.

Los cuentos son maravillosos.
Dejan ver un tiempo y un lugar diferente con una claridad impresionante.
La narración es muy buena.
Yo hablo español de México y el escuchar El castellano de España en cuentos victorianos (europeos) en lo personal me ayudó a trasladarme a otro lugar y a otra época y lo disfruté muchísimo.
Es de las pocas veces que acepto con agrado cuando los narradores imitan voces de los personajes porque en otras ocasiones lo siento muy falso y no me permite hacer clic con la personalidad de cada uno, sin embargo en esta narración, eso me ayudó muchísimo; de verdad lo disfruté.
