Beautiful

A great story with a beautiful ending. The characters, I absolutely loved definitely made me hopeful that love still exist in the world like this.

An interesting premise

A well written, sex forward, body positive tale of sweaty nights and, surprisingly, about growing up. While I may not have enjoyed *all* the sex scenes, the story's premise kept me reading the whole way through to see what would happen to the main characters and sticks the ending rather well! In the end it also made me want to go outside and take a hike again thanks to Dylans colorful description of the Pacific Northwest.

I really enjoyed this one. It made me laugh out loud with the characters banter and relationship build. I can’t wait for more from this author.

I never write a review but this audio book was just too good!!! The writing!!! The descriptions of EVERYTHING is just fantastic 👌🏽 🙌🏽 I absolutely recommend this book and the author and the voice actor! All AMAZING 👏🏽 🤩

queer/gay cubs/bears being referenced

I love how descriptive it was, not just the x scenes but in the admiration of the mountains, I could close my eyes and picture everything. I kinda didn't like how predictable the ending came, though I'm happy with it, I wished I would keep guessing the unthinkable a bit more.

Refreshing and Sexy

A new favorite author AND narrator! The voice acting for these characters is unique, the delivery emphatic & hilarious & SUPER SEXY at just the right moments. Victor Quixaba truly brought these bears to life in such a joyful way.

These characters are both beautiful and interesting. Together they are exciting and funny and sexy. I thoroughly enjoyed their inopportune nakedness and slow trust, learning that they have something beyond lust that may be worth the risk.

And the baby fox is adorable too!

Cheers to the adventure! Thank you for a wholesome plot and hot scenes — a perfect summer audiobook.

PS. It isn’t just a wilderness meet-cute. It’s also about exploring our own life goals and the limitations we sometimes put on ourselves inadvertently; about re-evaluating ourselves, our dreams, our expectations; to seriously consider what we’re willing to fight for (or sacrifice) versus what we’re willing to adapt to keep in a different way. It’s very thoughtful, in the tradition of a coming-of-age story. 10/10

Absolutely Stunning – I Need More!

Dylan Drakes, you magnificent genius, how dare you write something so utterly breathtaking and then end it? Cubs & Campfires had me hooked from the first page with its warmth, wit, and unbearably sexy tension. Luca and Artair’s chemistry? Off. The. Charts. The romance was beautiful, the setting was dreamy, and the sex scenes? Whew.

Honestly, my only complaint is that I needed more—more pages, more cuddles under the stars, more of Luca being a lovable disaster, and definitely more of Red Bear and his oh-so-charming wilderness magic. I was not ready to say goodbye.

Dylan, if you’re reading this, please take my shameless begging as encouragement to gift the world with a sequel. I’ll be waiting—impatiently, dramatically, and probably re-reading this one while I do.

No angst, cozy romcom with lots of sexy times

Ok, so this one is very heavy on the sex. 😂 It's thinking about sex, writing about sex, talking about sex and having lots of it. It might look like a no angst, cozy kind of romcom - and it is! Plus lots of steamy action.

There's nothing wrong with that and there's certainly nothing wrong with the body positivity being portrayed! Both guys are refreshingly curvy, no six packs here.

I liked it and I will probably listen to the next book.
