Super unique! Loved it!

At first it was slow going and I wasn’t sure I liked it but then it reved up and all I can say is it was very unique and beautifully crafted I hope to have more stories from Ava Roman and the troupe in the future!

a new twist on the origins of vampires

I really enjoyed this. it was a really fresh story on the original of vampires and magic. the character development in the main character was also really well done. would recommend.

The beginning was hard to get through. For myself I think it was a mixture of the performance and the way the book is written. But as you get through each chapter it’s a captivating story.

unique take on popular genres

This made me reminisce back to 10 years ago, reading the Night Circus (Erin Morgenstern) and The Magicians (Lev Grossman), whilst having a refreshing twist on origin of vampires and mages. I loved the relatable character development, and the appreciation for what she's gained after so much loss.
