The Upside of Hitting a Pothole

I couldn't put it down! Pansy seems flighty at first but she's lost and searching for her place in the world. Silas is arrogant with some anger issues. Together, they are magnificent! They are playful, dirty, supportive, and they ground each other in the best ways.

Oh, I should also mention that they are occasionally insatiable! 💕🔥💜 And let us not forget the power of hitting a "good" pothole and how that led to their not-so-cute meeting. Marvelous! Just marvelous! (PSA: Please don't try that at home! Sync your Bluetooth before driving.)

I read and listened to this book. Callie Dalton and Jacob Morgan did a really good job bringing the characters to life.

I'd already fallen in love with Trojan when I listened to Reverb so it's no surprise that I would fall for this book. Yes, I did enjoy them out of order. I prefer, and recommend, reading them in order. While there are a few things spoiled, going out of order was OK.

Silas & Pansy 💕

I really enjoyed the story of Pansy and Silas. They meet by accident but it turns out they’re perfect together. I loved how Silas believed in Pansy. And she has his back, no matter what.

Silas is part of the rockband Trojan.
I’m looking forward to the stories of the other band members.

It’s in dual POV and I liked both narrators, Callie Dalton and Jacob Morgan.

This book grew on me

I wasn’t too sure about this book when I started it, in fact I was several chapters in before I really got hooked. But by the end I absolutely fell in love with Silas and Pansy.

Enjoyed so much

The progression of Silas and Pansy’s love story was great. It wasn’t a rushed romance like some books are. Both Silas and Pansy are trying to figure life out. Together they give each other encouragement and peace I’m trying to figure their path.
Of course Jacob and Callie’s performances was great.

Silas and Pansy

As this book unfolded I really became more attached to these characters. Silas wants out of his world famous Rock band, but he has so much personal angst over his family.
Pansy wants to find her place in this world, she needs direction, a passion. She too has family angst that holds her back and keeps her from being al she wants to be.
Together they center each other. Am unlikely duo. There are also twists and turns along the way. Enjoyable listen.
The narration by Jacob Morgan is top notch as always.

My first S.M. West

This was my first S.M. West listen.. I really enjoyed, good story line, and great narrators

Promising Premise but Just Okay

2.5 stars - Although the narration was good, this story was just okay for me. The story begins with a fun meet cute and the premise had a lot of promise, but I did not really connect with the story. I thought that Pansy was immature, and I did not like Silas’ anger issues and jealousy. Silas and Pansy also had a ton of family drama/baggage, which for me drew the focus away from their budding romance. I also did not enjoy all of the added drama near the end. I thought the narration by Jacob Morgan was great, though, and although this was my first listen by Callie Dalton, I thought her voice fit Pansy’s character well. Ultimately, this may be a case of a book just not being for me.

Freaking Fantastic Rockstar Romance!

OMG! I love this book. The narrators did an amazing job. Had me hooked from the first chapter. Pansy is a very smart, witty, strong and yet flighty woman. Silas is a rockstar looking for a change. These two meet and there is an immediate connection. Both are at a crossroads and trying to figure out their next steps. They decide to give a relationship a go. The chemistry between the two is off the charts. There were so many funny situations. Lots of family and friend drama. SM West has done amazingly with this rockstar romance.

Sweet Romance

This is the first book in the Trojan Series. Silas and Pansy’s journey is interesting, sweet, sexy, and fun. I like their first meet. They complement each other. Their journey is filled with drama, angst, and ups and downs. The ending is beautiful. Callie Dalton and Jacob Morgan did a good job with the narration. Looking forward to listen to Reverb, Jared and Eva's story, the next book in the Series.

So much heart!!!

The amount of heart in this rockstar romance really surprised me. SM West really delivers on the romance in Clutch. Pansy (really who does that to their child?) is on a mission on self-discovery and stumbles upon rockstar Silas. These two are the complete opposite but it doesn’t matter, their attraction is strong and the chemistry is lighting them on fire! I just love the way their friendship develops first into something special before anything romantic. These two won over my heart!

The narration on this was amazing! Jacob Morgan and Callie Dalton really added more heart and a realism to the story that I didn’t expect. Morgan is an amazing rockstar! Silas is a bit hot tempered; he’s always known what he wants and he goes after it with gusto. He wants Pansy now. Pansy isn’t as confident in herself. In fact, she’s very unsure of herself and is on a mission of discovery. Dalton gives her the perfect voice without making her sound like a pansy.
