The author believes that practitioners must be well versed in both direct/authoritarian skills as well as those which are more permissive or indirect. But he goes on to say that the wealth of techniques of any competent hypnotherapist must include concepts and procedures that take advantage of many of recent advances in mind/body health, neurology, and artificial intelligence research. You will learn correct definitions of many common terms associated with the field, get a list and explanation regarding key skills needed should you want to be a professional, how to ideally structure a session, practical ways to increase your income through products and services, script writing techniques, how to market your practice, and how to continue your professional development so that your skills and knowledge don't become obsolete. A helpful exercise is included with each chapter.
It was written by Dr. Tim Brunson, who is both a Master Practitioner as well as a certified trainer for all NLP levels. An accomplished clinical hypnotherapist, he is the founder of The International Hypnosis Research Institute, written extensively about how the hypnosis can be used to change a person's mind, body, and performance, and developed The Neurology of Suggestion concepts which are integral with Advanced Neuro-Noetic Hypnosis. He has taught medical, mental health, and coaches from all over the world.
