The shelter offers assistance in ways he could only dream of, and as he searches for work and a home of his own, he finds himself enamored of the angelic girl who is beyond his reach.

The two are drawn to each other, sneaking glances in spite of her brother's disapproval, but Will's secrets will test the love that grows between them.

Treasure of Hope, Book Three

She's known as a hopeless flirt, but Sarah doesn't care. Sneaking out to parties on the Cliff Walk with her friends during winter nights becomes dangerous, and when a terrible accident happens, her carefree outlook is forever lost. Determined to blame herself, she focuses on applying her time and effort at the homeless shelter operated by her brother and his wife, but will she ever be able to move forward and accept forgiveness from those she has inadvertently harmed?

Sam is devastated when an evening of fun and drink ends in tragedy. He hardly knows Sarah, but is well-aware of her charm and spirit, neither of which gives him leave to forgive her for the life-changing event he is certain she has caused. Can his faith, shaken by his loss, be restored by granting and accepting forgiveness, however difficult and painful that might be?

Sweet Romance

I really enjoyed these books. It was nice to listen to them all in one audio book because it helped keep the flow between the books. They are easily stand alone, but more enjoyable to do the whole trilogy at one time. The characters are wonderful and realistic. I think the best part is that the stories were original and approached the romance in a different way with each book. I'm so glad to have found this audio book.

The narration was done well, which always adds pleasure to listening to any book.

Cliff Walk Courtships

This trilogy is a sweet story about young siblings that choose to follow God’s choices for them though it requires bucking the system.

Great plot. Loved it

Loved these books. Wonderful families. Bad boy and tragedy all put together in a great way.

Sweet

These books were all very sweet to listen to. The stories, following a sibling group as they come off age, all had very unique storylines. The only common theme in ask the books was the characters growth in their faith. Well worth the time to listen if your in the mood for an uplifting series.

A delight!

There are many things to love about these three stories. In “Throne of Grace” Arthur is searching for a more meaningful existence and Josie is content with who she is and where her life is taking her. I love how Arthur sees Josie for who she is and not for her station in life. I also enjoyed that both characters grew through their association with one another. To see how the couple cherished each other and stood together to weather their storms was endearing. I also really appreciated that they didn’t just jump into a relationship but were careful to be sure it was best for both of them.
“Crown of Beauty is a story of redemption and forgiveness. I thought the ending was a bit abrupt, but only because to that point the story flowed so well. I loved how the cold and strict mother is beginning to soften in this book which caused me to value her as a positive influence and an important character rather than the uptight snob she was in the first book. Catherine discovers there is a whole world that she has been completely blind to as she keeps her nose in a book as often as possible. Her growth along with the growth of Will make for a lovely tale of making things right and accepting someone as they learn to change their ways.
The third book, “Treasure of Hope” had some really heavy themes but beautifully showed that Sarah could rise from the ashes of her decisions and make the world better even if there was no way to change the consequences of her actions. I admire how she accepted responsibility and quickly changed the course of her life. I also celebrated with Sarah as she grew from total condemnation to acceptance of who she would be, and how she would be better for her experiences. Struggling with his own burdens, Sam must find a way to learn that pulling away and turning inward will never help the burdens lessen. As he begins to see the blessings of sharing his troubles, he learns to trust others with the things that matter most in his heart.
The reader did a really good job of keeping the listener engaged in the story. (I sped it up a little, but it’s just a personal preference as to how one likes to be entertained by the reader.) It could have been a challenge to stay involved with all the sorrow and self recrimination in the third book without the talents displayed by the narrator.
