Good guys and bad guys playing together or not. Charlie the main character falls into lots of positions that could end him. Yet at the end you know thankfully a book 10 is coming.

The description of anguilar politics and social structure formed a credible backdrop to all the twists and turns. Great adventure as they make it up while moving ahead. Looking forward to the next fight, if the series continues...

The book was as good as the others I loved learning about the redoubt and the ending leaves you wanting more can’t wait for the next book.
