Birdie Michaels has always dreamed of raising a family in Sugarberry Valley. This Christmas, she’s determined to adopt Emma, the special needs child she’s been fostering. While Birdie is hesitant to risk her heart again, she can’t deny his offer is the only realistic way to secure the future she wants for Emma.
Yet, marrying for the wrong reasons might not be enough for the skeptical judge. Can Birdie and Lucas prove to him, and to themselves, they’re an actual family before it's too late? As they work together to navigate the holiday season, Birdie and Lucas face meddling family, buried memories, and their own fears. But between holiday traditions, love that’s rekindled by the season, and a quirky cast of small-town characters, they just might find the family they’ve always needed.
