Amazing warm story
Loved this beautiful series of books from start to finish! This is a sort of story I’m looking for when I want to wrap in a blanket and cuddle on a rainy foggy day with my cat and good book. Would highly recommend to anyone.

Filled with joy and trauma triggers
I have listened to every book in this series, but they were sometimes hard to hear. Trauma triggers abound, like an attempt to fit as many in as possible—verbal abuse, physical abuse, rape, multiple criminal attacks, incest, child abuse, and so many unkind words, especially from Chloe. I fear some abused readers will feel judged for not endlessly tolerating their parents’ abuse to get to the “happy ending” that very rarely happens, especially with truly abusive, denigrating people. Mixed feelings here, because I love the good characters, and somehow feel a little manipulated by the trauma.

Is this the end?
I’m sorry to reach turns of the series! The storyline of abuse has returned for another character, so fair warning if that triggers you. I find myself wishing I was surrounded by the unconditional love of such friends as is depicted in Hedgehog Hollow. A good read!
