So this is the first book that I have read/Listened to by this author and Omg I'm so in love with it & I need book 2 stat. Good thing it was released this week now I just have to get it. I will say that I screamed NO at my phone when it ended because it does end on a cliffhanger. Ugh not a big fan of those but I'm sure the wait is so worth it. I listen to books, because I can get a better feel & connection to the story, as long as the story and the narrator mesh great together in this case both are amazingly great together. The story line and the characters are very relatable. It grows and flows great together. I had been in Kayla’s spot at one point in my life. In love with someone who doesn't feel the same way but still did the friends with benefits. I had tried to move on a few times and it never failed they would somehow send my head spinning on a roller coaster. I finally broke free from that crazy ride. So as I listen to the story, I really felt like I was right there going through it all with Logan. This author & narrator sucked me in and I didn't want it to leave this world. This is hitting all the feelers and more. The narrator Lia Langola is brilliant and brought the soul to this book. She gave it a new life. I am truly amazed by her talents when narrating this story. I hope to hear more from Lia Langola and to read more of the Checkmate series thank you for this 5 star Read one click today!

YAY Logan and Kayla's story!!!

ooohhhh.... this first of 2 stories for Logan and Kayla is incredible!!! This series is fantastic... but this book is...WOW! The characters, the storyline and the twists are perfect! I am heading into the next book in the series RIGHT NOW!

Dogs + ❤️ + A Knight

I loved this story so much!! The love story was magical - as were the steamy scenes. The cast - which includes four dogs! - was endearing and engaging. I couldn't stop listening.

I'm also very pleased with the narrator, Lia Langola. She added a bit of sweetness and intrigue to the story.

Finally!

I was waiting to start their story. It did not disappoint. Had me laughing and being serious through out the story. I am excited for the second book because there was so much happening. So many questions at the end of the story.

I am a huge fan of Kennedy Fox Books! they are like brain candy to me, each book is so sweet and addicting and leaves you wanting another one as soon as you are done one. I have been counting down the days till the audio book of Checkmate This is Dangerous would be out, so when I got the chance to listen to it, I stopped everything else I was doing and pressed that play button and OMG It was fantastic.Lia Langola did this story justice !! she is an amazing narrator and she was able to capture the voice of these charaters perfectly

In this story, we follow Logan and Kayla.For me there has always been something very mysterious about both Logan and Kayla , you never really knew too much about these two, so I was very eager to dive into this story, to find out more. Logan and Kayla together was just wow, the chemistry between these two was just so intense but Logan was always saying no, he doesn't have time for a relationship so when he finally started saying yes and started to give in , I literally broke out into a dance and when they had sex for for the first time I wanted to get one of those congratulations you had sex cakes lol ( well maybe for these two I would get them a donut instead lol), I was so invested in these two characters , they have both been through so much in their lives, so seeing them find each other and fall in love was so wonderful.If I had to describe their romance into 3 words they would be sexy, fun and heartwarming. There was just so many things happening in this story, between Logan current case and his personal life, Kayla's passion for animal rescuing that resulted in a dangerous situation and of course catching up with some of our favourite characters from the previous books in the Checkmate series ,there was never a dull moment and I loved that . Checkmate This is Dangerous was an excellent start to Logan and Kayla's story, however at the same time there are so many things that happened in this story that have me so excited to get my hands on Checkmate this is beautiful! If you are looking for a sexy , swoon worthy, romance that will have you glued to every single word you should definitely pick up this book as soon as you can.

I can't get enough!

This listen was so satisfying. After listening to the the second duet in this series, Logan and Kayla were highly anticipated for me. They are fire together. The push and pull from them is electric, leaving me wanting to devour their story so fast.

Logan is hiding part of his life from his friends, especially Kayla. They've become close and Kayla desires more. Logan is keeping her at a distance because of some internal demons he has. There's no doubt that he wants more and its getting harder and harder to fight it. Kayla is one of kindest and giving people but even she has her secrets. As if it couldn't get any harder for them, another obstacle is thrown in their way.

I can't wait to start the next book in this duet! I need to know what happens so badly! I'm so in love with this couple and their story. My heart is swooning!

Loved Loved This Audio

Lia does such an amazing job with this audio! The way that she narrates for both POV and you can't tell it is the same person is the best part! I was a little worried about only having a female for the narrator but she did a wonderful job!! Logan and Kayla are such an amazing couple and have a push pull relationship that you can't deny!! Logan is one of the best male characters that you love to watch overcome his struggles. I loved the way Kayla and Logan have that friendship before they have a romantic relationship. Kayla is such a sweet character and the way she cares for others makes her such a genuine character. But on top of loving these two, I love that you get to see the other couples from the previous books as well since they are all friends.

Wonderful Series

Another amazing story from the author. It keeps the reader engaged and the pages turning. This series has been amazing and I’ve loved every book so far.
