A fun listen and a great value

The Chase Baker stories are entertaining, with touches of humor and story lines that engage. They're true to the action-adventure model they follow, with a hero who's got what it takes to win the day and take the prize, but who isn't full of himself. Very enjoyable.

Very fun story

This is a very fun story, It has the wit and comedy and is tongue in cheek. It also has adventure and many twists and turns.
I can't wait to hear more of the series.

Absolutely wonderful adventure

I think what I liked most about these two books (along with the other Chase Baker book I have listened to) is the absolute audacity, the humongous brass ba**s of the main character, Chase baker, He comes up with crazy plans that you wind up believing in, just because they are so crazy. A sane plan would never work, because the opponent will also think of the same thing. You have to think crazy to win, and Chase Baker both thinks crazy and wins (but his friends and comrades don't always fare so well.

There was no need to read these in order. Zandri does an excellent job of starting fresh in each of these stories.

Good Narration

Bored with a convenience, the men decided on a real one, and meeting with a woman who says she knows exactly. where it is at. The fun and laughter await readers, for an entertaining story,
THE SPEAR OF DESTINY
Chase meets with a Vatican pope needing help with a holy relics had been stolen and needs to found. If not the wrong people will set up a
Regime with it. Good in depth plot, and enjoyed as well as the narrator. Given audio for my voluntary review and my honest opinion

The Da Vinci Code!

This box set contains: “Chase Baker and the Dutch Diamonds”; A thrilling treasure hunt for the 1930’s gangster Dutch Schultz’s hidden loot. “Chase Baker and the Spear of Destiny”; An exciting adventure detailing the kidnapping of the Pope and the theft of the legendary spear that pierced Christ’s side on the cross. The Dutch Diamonds was a fun read, a little on the short story side. Chase Baker and crew are off hunting the lost treasure. The Spear of Destiny on the other hand was a wee bit tedious for my liking. While the topic was interesting, I felt overburdened with detail and the Pope kidnapping dragged. The whole scenario reminded me of an old movie; The Da Vinci Code. I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

Entertaining

This was a good listen. Narration was excellent with each character having a distinct voice. The stories are reminiscent of Indiana Jones. One story even included Nazis and a religious artifact with magical powers. Spoiler, it isn't the ark of the covenant.
