Very good suspense and narration

This book is filled with lots of great mystery with twists. The story is complex and entertaining, and the further developing romance is enjoyable. The narration is very good. I love the writing and the poetic descriptions. I have listened to it twice now and I know I will listen to it again.

Kept me interested characters were great. narrator voice was perfect for character. entertaining, laugh aloud moments, heartfelt love story, suspenseful thriller. Couuldn't stop listening. listened to 4 books back to back.

Loved it! Another great read!

Another fantastic story in this series! This one picks up where the last one leaves off, thankfully! (Major cliffhanger previously.) Lexi has escaped and made it to US soil through a storm and survived crash landing the plane and thankfully found just in time from her team to be able to save her. She has a road of recovery ahead of her but that is not all as rival group, Omega, has orders to bring her in dead or alive. Strike Force is on full protective detail and closing ranks around one of their own to keep her safe and let her heal and recover while she tries to work the case and puzzle out who is pulling all the strings in the background and why they are coming so hard for her. Lexi is bound and determined to figure out who the puppet master is and end his reign. This story was very engaging again. I already love these characters and felt connected and engaged with them and that just continued. I do recommend reading the previous books as they are connected and do build off one another. I love getting to see more Lexi and Striker as they continue to move forward and figure out their relationship as well as watching Lexi build her bonds with the rest of Strike Force. It's great getting to know the rest of the team better as well. There are definitely lots of twists and turns in this one as Lexi is unravelling the tangled web and it is very well done. I loved the psychic part that comes in with Lexi's psychic knowings and connections as well. Loved it and can't wait for more!

Vastly different interpretation

I have read the book twice and I do not agree with how the narrator voiced the characters. In the audiobooks so far, Lynx comes across as lacking self-confidence and somewhat mean spirited. While I liked how she voiced Striker and Gator, all the men on the team come across as uneducated and dull witted. It takes more than muscle to earn a place on the elite teams these men come from. This rendering had me going back to the book to reread passages in an effort to understand where the narrator gained her understanding of the characters. I still don’t agree with her but I can see how she came to her conclusions. In all honesty, I would not read the books if my interpretations were the same as the narrator’s.

Enjoyed this

I really like Jesse Vilinsky as a performer. And, of course, I love this series and Fiona Quinn. I hope she writes more about Lynx and Striker.

Can’t stop listening to this intriguing series. Lynx and Striker are wonderful. All the characters are engaging, sometimes funny sometimes fearless. Fiona Quinn’s deadly international suspense mystery thriller is more than advertised. And Jesse Vilinsky’s performance brings it all to life.
