The grass ain’t greener at FB

I love her writing style and her perspective on the FB culture especially the darker side of Mark and Sheryl

Wow! Engaging and eye opening.

This book, wonderfully narrated by the author, captured my attention immediately and did not let up. seeing "the other side" of the news articles and topics I have followed over the past decade or so was interesting and eye opening. I have some back ground in some of the topics and the interactions rang very true - especially the "I don't live in your reality" personalities and the snails pace of governments to recognize the importance of anything not happening within their next election cycle.

So much was laughably, tragically relatable from my own work life... and so much explains how we got to where we are today with not just facebook but social media and technology at large. Can things change? I hope so. I certainly understand why the author chose to publish the book now, and how important it is... but I fear the people who most need to hear it's message will continue to be deaf to it.

I definitely recommend listening! warning: starts with an extremely graphic shark attack that on post-listening reflection was kinder than the retribution given to whistleblowers who fail to toe the line.

Facebook is run by evil perverts

Not even remotely surprised. Brilliantly written and well documented. We all knew Zuckerberg was a pathetic little napoleon-syndrome weirdo and we all knew Sheryl Sandberg is one of the worst people of all time but it’s clear from this book it’s actually worse than we thought. These people should be in prison.

Been here, seen this. Bravo lady! Writing this book was not an easy decision, and the aftermath won’t be either. You’re an f-ing hero
RE your epilogue and AI: I have been raising questions about upleveling education and course work at colleges to prepare graduates for the AI revolutions at intimate meetings and dinners with some of the leaders, and seems that no one is really thinking about what happens to culture, society, culture the workforce when you replace and displace them. While I’m becoming quite unpopular with the leaders at these intimate dinners, when I head out, the staff and lower level employees are all saying “thank you, yes”
I love the progress of technology, but feel like the $$$$ makers are ignoring a much bigger picture

Lift the lid and see the cesspool

A refreshing insight into the atrocious behaviour of executives and staff and board members of Facebook/ Meta

In the end MZ is still a white pasty awkward teenage frat boy and runs the company as such.

The damage done and likely to be done is being ignored by governments and the public.

As such we deserve what they have done and will do in the future.

Breathtaking and well told

I love every word she wrote. She's so genuine. The story is shocking. The rotteness at the center of Facebook is breathtaking. She backs it up with fact.

Necessary and entertaining, and shocking! A must listen. Lots of new information about Facebook and the people who run it. Gross!

Eye opening

Very brave lady telling dark secrets of FB. From amazing ability to microtarget voters in election, serving fake news to those most likely to accept which message , to Myanmar to truly frightening coop arrangement with China which they’ve lied directly about to Senate.Mark Z’s power lust is unrestrained, made worse by his historical illiteracy & indifference in general to anything other than FB/Mets’s dominance. Author has details & receipts. The misogyny is well known & dismissed which is her last straw.
Mark trying to stop circulation of this book/ I can see why. Explosive details paint a narcissistic nihilist on a mission to be Caesar. Lots it them around rn. They’re more powerful than our govt now being torn asunder.
This is a glimpse behind the carefully calibrated image presented.
