Love the incredible explanation and examples

The narration is fantastic! It's very enjoyable to listen to. Also the explanation and examples are very clear and super helpful!!

best book I have ever listened to. I major in psychology so when I heard the big five and five love languages I got excited. this book showed me that soft skills are important in the work place as well as your personal and romantic life

Recovering Awkward Person

Wow, when I first started this book I was unsure as to how it would play out - but I actually really loved it! I love how Vanessa ‘Captivates’ you through her book and how she’s written out the information and techniques in a way for us to understand while keeping me entertained, I found my self laughing a loud a lot! I gave this book a normal listen but wasn’t able to make notes or write much down as I listened to this at work, I am going to take what I’ve learn for now and use that in my world, the useful little things I have take so far is already working! I will in the future listen to this book again with more intent and motive in order to improve myself and stay curious - thank you Vanessa, you’ve made me a little less awkward and a little more interested in other people!

So why am I listening to it... I’m a naturally outgoing and confident person. I always thrived in social settings. My wife says; “the bigger the crowd, the brighter I shine!” I’m a sales mentor, marketing strategist and public speaker. I know people and intuitively understand how to connect and influence.

So why am I reading this... in her charming way, Vanessa has helped me decode what I do naturally. Understanding the latest science behind relationships and connection has taken me to deeper levels of conscious competence. This has empowered me to improve relationships with my client & team as well as with my family & friends.

This book is packed with so many tools and relatable stories. I’m interested in human behaviour and always surprised to realise how much more predictable people are than I once thought. Great to know people aren’t thinking about me nearly as much as I am. 😊

There is a science to people

Found the book to be full of lessons and very structured. It is hard to follow it as well as reading because of the various exercises throughout so I intend to go to the supplementary material and actually run through it to retain and use some what is taught. Overall, it's a good hack into the human mind.
