4 1/2 stars. Great narrators and a wonderful story

4 1/2 stars for me. Choices in the past broke this couple apart, leaving questions and anger behind. Maia was an intelligent, successful woman with a plan to take down Gatsby. I loved her drive but fully accepted her change of heart once she found out the truth. Her willingness to help straighten out her life (due to her own actions) made her a favorite character for me. Gatsby did what he thought was the right thing, but he broke his own heart. I enjoyed his optimism, gallantry, and kindness with those around him. He pretty much waited for Maia to come back into his life. A wonderful story which I do recommend.

The narrations by Sebastian York and Stephanie Nemeth-Parker brought the story to life and helped me enjoy the story even more. They complemented each other and kept me listening.

I loved everything about this book, from Claudia Burgoa’s wonderful writing style to the fabulous characters and storylines she created to the perfectly cast narrators who bring it all to life from the pages to the ears. This is the second book of the “Paradise Bay Billionaire Brothers”, each book is featuring a different Spearman brother as the lead character, this can be enjoyed on its own but I highly recommend starting with the first book, series, “Faking The Game”, Aslan’s story, not only is it just as amazing as this book but you get to meet all the brothers in that book, get an inside view of the family dynamics and the camaraderie amongst the siblings, especially the triplet brothers, most of that continues in this book. This book is Gatsby’s story, and it starts off with him in college 14 years earlier when he was in college and in a relationship with Maia Ocampo, the two made a great team both in and out of the classroom. But Gatsby receives life changing news and has to return home immediately and leaves without saying goodbye to Maia, leaving her broken-hearted and in a bind. Fast forward the current time, Gatsby, a billionaire, is the CEO of his own company, Maia is running her own up-and-coming company, he has kept tabs on her watching and letting her buy companies and deals he was interested in, but he draws the line when she makes a play for his siblings new business. It is time that he pays a visit to Maia, who has returned none of his calls that he made to her over the years. Maia is out for vengeance, she has her reasons but Gatsby is clueless to why she hates him so much. I admired and her for her creative mind, especially with his car, and her determination to succeed. I loved how everything played out in this book, the story is cleverly plotted with the perfect balance of drama, humor, heartfelt emotions and hot romance. Claudia Burgoa, thank you for another fabulous story, the laughs and the emotional rollercoaster ride.

Sebastian York and Stephanie Nemeth-Parker are fabulously talented narrators and versatile voice artists. They had a complete understanding of the characters they portrayed, gave each a voice that suited character to a tee, sounding believable and just as I pictured the characters to sound. Nemeth-Parker played Maia’s role with perfection, captured her every emotion and had you feeling every single one, Sebastian York did the same for Gatsby. Both were great at performing the roles of the secondary characters as well. They set the perfect tone for the story, handled the witty dialogue with ease and landed the humor effortlessly. These entertaining storytellers are a pleasure to listen to and their narration enhances this fabulous story to another level. Thank you for another amazing listen!

Can't help but love Gatsby and Maia!

Can't Help Love by Claudia Burgoa is second chance enemies to lovers perfection! Claudia has an amazing way of hooking readers quickly with steamy love scenes and memorable characters. Gatsby and Maia have a long angsty journey to find their HEA, but once they get there, it is totally worth the wait!

This audiobook is narrated by Sebastian York and Stephanie Németh-Parker. This is the first time I've heard these two paired together, and I loved it! Sebastian brought a dominant arrogance to Gatsby's persona at the beginning, but as his layers were uncovered he ended up being downright swoon-worthy. Stephanie was fantastic, showcasing Maia's strength, resilience, and passion for her work and of course, eventually Gatsby. I loved the chemistry between this couple!

Overall, I enjoyed this audiobook! If you love a second chance enemies to lovers romance with an alpha billionaire, a sassy outspoken heroine, catching up with the Spearmans, visits to Paradise Bay, sexual tension, slow-burn steamy times, and a HEA that will have you believing in second chances, then you will love Gatsby and Maia's story. I'm looking forward to more from Claudia Burgoa.

Second chance love

Gatsby and Maia had a brief, Intense love during their junior year in college. And then, suddenly, Gatsby was gone without a word. Maia was devastated and never forgave him, hating him for ruining her life. In the meantime, Gatsby was dealing with losing his father and raising his younger siblings.

I don’t think I have ever met a more wonderful character than Gatsby. He was so thoughtful and caring. When Maia sets out to destroy him, he still tries to make everything easier for Maia. Having the dual narration really added to the enjoyment, both narrators had voices that added to the layers of personality of the main characters.

Always love listening to Sebyo and Stephanie

In this story we learn more about Gatsby and Maia. We learn more about their past and are their for their current journey. The story comes alive when the narrators bring the story to the next level. I love that I am slowly listening/reading all of the books in Claudia's collection.

Can't Help Love

Claudia Burgoa adds another great story to the Paradise Bay Billionaire Brothers series with Can't Help Love.

Maia's dislike for Gatsby runs deep and she has a plan to ruin him. One that does not involve falling for him again. However, the connection and chemistry between them are most definitely still there. It was fun watching Maia's feelings change from hate to love as she grows closer to Gatsby again.

Sometimes second chance romances can be a bit difficult to do right because so much of the drama between the characters is tied to past events. However, Claudia did a great job with balancing that past with what Maia and Gatsby were building together now.

Overall this is a fun, quick read with excellent narrators, and I am looking forward to more from the series!

Can’t Help Love in Book two in the Paradise Bay Billionaire Brothers and it’s time for protective and caring Gatsby to tell his tale, it’s a wonderful, captivating addition to what is becoming one of my favourite series and for me this is second chance romance at its best so urge you all to one click this gem.
Maia and Gatsby thought they were forever when they met 14 years ago in college but fate stepped in and when Gatsby lost his father unexpectedly, he ended up breaking her heart by walking away without even a goodbye. Fast forward to today and Maia is out for revenge, stealing business transactions from under his nose is one thing but messing with his siblings has Gatsby banging on her door looking for answers……
Can’t Help Love has it all, I smiled, I giggled, I swooned and at times I held my breath as I found myself wishing and hoping that this couple got the HEA they both deserved. I fell hard and fast for the swoon worth, protective Gatsby and I adored the strong and independent Maia but what took this book to another level was the determination Gatsby had when he set out to win his soulmate back.
The narration by Sebastian York and Stephanie Nemeth-Parker was perfect. They did a wonderful job bringing the characters and their story to life.
I can’t wait to see where we are taken next when we visit Paradise Bay for Book three.

Outstanding!

I loved the ebook but listening to the audio version made it more special. Narrators Sebastian York and Stephanie Nemeth- Parker were perfect to bring Gatsby and Maia to life.

Loved this Second Chance Romance!

I loved this hilarious, heartfelt enemies-to-lovers, second chance romance! This second book in the Paradise Bay Billionaire Brothers series took my breath away at times and then filled my heart with hope and happiness. Gatsby Spearman and Maia Ocampo were young, passionate lovers in college. Unfortunately something tragic happens that sends Gatsby home to take care of his family, breaking both their hearts. Now years later, they are successful app creators, and business owners. Maia feels betrayed by Gatsby, and is out to prove she is more successful than he is, along with getting back at him in other ways. She tries to avoid him but when Gatsby final gets past her walls, he is determined to win back the only woman he has ever loved. Will they be able to move past all the hurt, pain and betrayal between them, or will the love they thought was long buried win out in the end? Even tho I was frustrated with them at times, I loved Gatsby and Maia's journey from their difficult pasts, to learning to forgive, trust, and build a forever love together. Burgoa's storytelling is beautiful, with fascinating characters that make me laugh out loud at times, cry, and swoon. I'm loving getting to know this part of the Spearman family, along with their sibling banter, fights, and unconditional love and support. It is also fun to have surprise appearances from characters from previous stories! Gatsby and Maia's second chance romance is a bumpy ride but so worth all the feels. I can't wait to learn more about the rest of the Spearman family.

Sebastian York, and Stephanie Németh-Parker are pure magic as Gatsby and Maia. They recreate the fun and passionate chemistry beautifully. York, has an easy way of pulling you into his story telling. His inflections, pauses and voice changes are so effortless. I also enjoyed Németh-Parker's accent and her lyrical voice was so easy to listen to. They made this heartwarming, irresistible, and sizzling romance even better!
