Sheila + Parker ❤️

Sheila is a single mom to four kiddos. She puts their needs and happiness first, and that's all that matters to her. Then along came Parker, and Sheila was quickly under his spell. No one had ever treated her as well as he did. He's just stopping in town to see a friend but runs into Sheila since they have friends in common. Sheila quickly realizes all the baggage that the two of them bring to a relationship, which makes her question if fairy tales do actually exist.

This is a super cute novella with a bit of Valentine's Day goodness thrown in. Sheila is very self-conscious about her looks after having four kids, and girl, I get it. But Parker made sure to end that on the spot, which I loved. This book will take you on a rollercoaster ride of emotions in the best way. Plus, the baggage they both bring in will leave you shocked, but once it's all sorted out, you'll love all the characters even more.

Marie Hawkins narrates yet another of Samantha's books and puts on a great performance. I love finding books she narrates!

THIS BOOK IS FOR YOU IF: You're a fan of quick, small town stories with a good serving of family drama.

Relearning love

Shelia has 4 kids, and a controlling ex husband. She doesn’t have time to date, and definitely can’t open her heart up to a possible heartbreak. Parker was infatuated with Sheila from the moment he saw her. This was a fantastic audio of friends, family, and healing.

Candy Coated Promises is book #2 (novella) in the Stone Creek series. Sheila is a divorced mom of 4 teenaged kids trying to navigate life. Her crappy ex-husband has a new girlfriend that is not much older than their oldest child. Parker and Sheila had a drunken night together on NYE and are now seeing how a relationship might work out between them. This steamy, sweet novella is the perfect Valentine's story. With a crazy twist in the story, I binged this one quickly! Love this series and the folks of Stone Creek. Plus it's based in Tennessee (near Nashville), so that's a #win for me!

The narration was sooo good. Marie Hawkins voiced ALL these great characters (from kids to adults) with spectacular ability. LOVED her narration. 5/5 stars!

Sweet novella that you can't help but love!

This is book 2 in Samantha Baca's Stone Creek series. These books do need to be read in order so make sure you start with Chocolate Covered Mistletoe! You won't regret it! Sheila and Parker are perfect for eachother! She is a single mom who has devoted her life to her kids and I love how patient and loving Parker is towards her! I listened to the audio book and the emotion Marie Hawkins put in the book was fantastic! The end was especially heart felt and will bring you to tears. Don't worry because Samantha brings us the HEA we all want!

Just what the heart needed

Sheila and Parker are the brought together in book 1, and I am so glad to see them get a chance to tell their story. Sheila is a divorced mom of 4 teenagers, and Parker has an adult daughter that has recently come back into his life, as he is secretly making a move to be closer to his best friend and business partner Ryder, that moved to Stone Creek to take over his dad's floral shop. Floral shop turned sweet shop, and a girl that he has great spark with, or rekindle the relationship with his daughter is the question. Sheila's ex-husband has a new fiancé and everything seems to be in chaos. Their lives turn out to be more intertwined than they could have ever imagined. I love the raw emotion and true to life characters that are always part of Samantha's books. Would absolutely recommend
