Can he pay back the mob before it’s too late? And if so, what will it cost him?

What a fun entertaining read

As the circus goes from town to town and one town calico gets away, he’s the dragon but that is all in a days work when working for this circus. Jake is just trying to make the bills and entertain people, but when one of the most wanted man who is also a Shapeshifter comes and tells him that his father owed him $400,000 and that he expects Jake to pay it within 30 days, Jake is not only baffled but tells him there’s no way he can pay it. This is when the Shapeshifter threatened his life and says people have been killed for less than saying things like that to me jake changes his mind shakes his head and this is one of the adventure begins and I didn’t even mention the magic card in his back pocket. This book is so full of fun and adventure and comes from the mind with a great imagination. From the showstopper of the train gargoyles to calico the dragon if this book was just about the circus it would be entertaining but with the circus and I’ll be adventure it’s even more awesome! I highly highly recommend this book I gave it five stars because I couldn’t give it more. Not to mention the guy who narrated the book did an awesome job. If you’re still reading this let me in a post script there is so much more to this book but I couldn’t do it justice with a small summary. The summary for the book doesn’t do it justice. Just know this is an awesome awesome listen!

This was a really good book!A circus with Gryphons and a dragon is what a mob guy wants for the past owners debts.The lengths his son goes to to keep people safe may not be enough.Lots of twists ad turns.Narration by James Highfield was well done. I was given this book free for an honest review.

Everything you could want!

Fantasy, adventure, romance, this book has it all. wonderful story telling by the author, and wonderful voice work by the narrator!

Moral is Never Owe Money to the Mafia- Fun Read!

This was such a fun read and the narration was wonderful! I don't want to give anything away so I will keep this short. As for content warnings there is some minor language (less than Harry Potter), no graphic violence, and no sexual content- so PG and 3-4th grade up but would say it's a middle grade read. This is a great mash up of fantasy and adventure with circuses, outlawed magic, mobsters, and so many fun fantasy creatures. Basically, if the description sounded good and intrigued you then you won't be disappointed.

Great Blend of Fantasy and Real World

As one who does not traditionally gravitate towards fantasy themed books, I was not sure how much I would enjoy this story. However, I was quickly engaged and found myself looking for moments to slip away and continue the plot. Definitely one of my favorite recent reads.

Trouble Under the Big Top

A former rodeo dragon rider fights to save the circus he's been reluctantly running since his father died when gangsters come to collect a debt he didn't know he owed in this exciting, entertaining and often heart-wrenching story, I loved the classic circus story feel, the amazing menagerie animals and the understated romance between the hero and heroine.
Well worth your time.

This was a good listen. The narration was excellent. There plenty to keep my interest along with a few shed tears.
