There are rafts to build and trees to climb and pranks to play. Caddie especially likes to watch her friend Indian John build birchbark canoes at the river.

The author, Carol Ryrie Brink - granddaughter of the real Caddie Woodlawn - based her book on the true stories her grandmother used to tell her about growing up on the frontier.

What a story!🐴
I enjoyed this story very much. The narrator was very good she has a nice voice and it reminds me of a
grandmother telling a story.
I would recommend it as a family read and listen.

Charming
Our family loves to listen to this story. It has emotion, thoughts, lessons, and some comical parts too! Some reviews say that the voice is too raspy, but I think it is very soothing and comfortable!! More books like this are really appreciated!

Timeless
This book is extremely interesting even if you’re a grandma. Of course it brings back life of yesteryear’s but it is wonderful to think of the adventures that children used to have before the age of electronics

Awesome for the whole family, great narration!
What made the experience of listening to Caddie Woodlawn the most enjoyable?
This is a great story, made even better by Roslyn Alexander. I loved it, and my kids 6, 4, & 2 enjoyed it just as much.
