Another great Carly story

Carly is getting too close to secrets in Drum. Not only is she in danger but also those she loves. I'm looking forward to the next Carly book. As usual, Shannon McManus does a wonderful job of narrating.

Mystery romance

I like this series alot it's hard to stop listening the stories keep you wanting more waiting for next book to come out !

In true DGS fashion, this book will pull you in, and then spit you out gasping for breath and begging for more. This is by far one of my favorites and that is saying something.
So hold on, grab a snack and settle in for the adventure that awaits you because once you start listening, you will not be able to stop.

Another amazing Carly book

This book may have ended on a cliffhanger, but that’s only made me extremely hyped up for the next book in the series. I read the book when it first released, and now, I’ve listened to the audio book to refresh my mind before the next book comes out tomorrow. I absolutely can’t wait! 🙌😆 love these books and Denise 💜

Don’t listen to the naysayers

Good grief, some people are only happy when they’re complaining I swear! This is a great stand alone series, and if you go back and read the Rose Gardner series first you’ll love it even more.
Denise Grover Swank is FAST becoming my favorite author!

The dark mysteries continue

The latest installment of Carly Moore waitress/part time detective’s complicated messy life was a wonderful blend of love, danger, humor, family drama, painful pasts, real life issues, spice, plot twists, imperfect characters, secrets, missteps, mystery, and big feels. This book picks up a number of uneventful weeks following the end of the last book. Carly is still hiding from her dangerous and powerful father and ex-fiancée and a dead car resulted in her ending up in Drum, a small town disconnected from the rest of the world. She is working as a waitress in the local bar, living with and taking care of Hank, healing from her painful past, and trying to figure out her relationship with her best friend Marco, a deputy sheriff. When a regular customer of Carly’s is charged with murder, Carly with a little help from Marco is even more determined to get evidence about Bart Drummond’s “favors”. As usual, things get messy and complicated quickly as she and Marco pull threads trying to get to the bottom of the mystery. Drum is a hot bed of gossip, lies, dirty deals, deception, and powerful men. And honest and kind people like Carly are frequently in the cross hairs. The book was well written and included witty dialogue, three dimensional characters, and an engaging storyline. I am looking forward to reading the next book in this series.

Shannon McManus did a great job narrating the story and characters into life with enough change of inflection, tone and cadence to voice multiple characters quite convincingly.

Soooo good!

This is my favorite of the series yet! Can’t wait for the 5th book! They’re just a pleasure to listen to. Great narration as always.
