Her questions lead her from Port BreeZe, with her neighbor Phim Bellefontaine in tow, all the way to Manitoulin Island. Here they search for stolen art work created by a young handicapped painter who drowned under unfortunate circumstances. On this far-flung chase, she tracks the thieves marketing the art work, repeatedly encounters a threatening individual on a similar, though slightly different mission, and keeps an entire police department on its toes.
